I have 4 children within 6 years when gained 50+ lbs with a couple of them. I’m 5’10 and 165lbs currently. I am athletic and have tried numerous diet/workout plans and even paid personal trainers but could never seem to trim my tummy like I wanted to. I just didn’t feel like myself and I hated it. I was recommended Heartland Plastics by a friend and after considering reviews/cost/distance from home I decided to book a consult. During the consult in sept. 2020, I had to stand completely naked while he and a nurse assessed what kind of surgery would best help me get the results I desired. He said I wouldn’t qualify for LIPO but did notice I had Diastasis Recti (I assumed but never had confirmed). A full Abdominoplasty with muscle repair sounded perfect. I also wanted my breast, deflated after nursing 4 babies, to be full and perky again so we went with the Natrealle SRX 485cc silicone implant. I wanted to look like I had breasts in shirts again but not be like “BAM”! Updated on 29 Oct 2020: I arrived at the surgery center at 8:45 and got my final payments made. After a few questions and paperwork I was changed into a gown and back in pre-op talking to the surgeon and anesthesia. I was wheeled back for surgery around 9:45 and the first tine I remember seeing on the clock afterwards was 1pm. I didn’t feel a lot of pain, but did throw up when they first got me up to the bathroom. My husband was called in and I was in the car to head home by 2:15. I felt a little rushed out after surgery considering I don’t remember basically anything before getting home and settling on the couch. I couldn’t stand up straight, which was to be expected from the muscle repair and tummy tuck. Most of the pain was associated with that and my breasts were hardly even noticeable in comparison. I would definitely recommend a recliner or something easier to get in and out of than a couch. Updated on 30 Oct 2020: Early morning on day 2, around 3am, I passed out in my bathroom. Fortunately, I had called my husband in and he caught me as I sat on the toilet so no harm was done. I assume my blood pressure dropped as I got up or my sugar was low. I drank some soda and smacked before being walked back to the couch. I was weak the rest of the day. I did manage to shower with help on day 2 and changed my dressings as directed. The pain is mainly a burning sensation throughout the abdomen and tightness if I lay causing any strain on my abs. I’m glad my doctor does did a drainless tummy tuck bc those would be a huge pain to deal with. My appetite is still pretty small so I’m trying to make my calories count with high protein shakes. Today is day 3 and I have my follow up appointment later. It’s a 1.5 hour drive that I’m not looking forward to. I’m felt so much better today though. I was able to have a BM with no issues this morning and get dressed alone. I feel about 50% better than yesterday and I’m hoping it’s all downhill from here! Updated on 4 Nov 2020: Day 4 was ground breaking in recovery. I felt so much better. Still not a lot of energy, and sleeping was uncomfortable but was far as moving around during the day, I actually could! I stopped taking the Percocet except before bed. Started on ibuprofen per doctors orders bc I hadn’t been bruising. I sneezed on day 6 and that was brutal! I felt like an internal stitch popped. I finally moved back to my bed with pillows propping me up and slept much better. Day 7 was fairly active for me bc my husband had to go into work so I had all 4 kids alone. I felt it by the end of the day. My boobs were sore and muscles were tight. My ab muscles frequent spasms when I lay down and relax for the night. Swelling seems pretty significant at this point. Updated on 8 Nov 2020: I read on another review that a PS said to lessen the pillows you sleep on at night to help start to lengthen your tummy again. Once I started that I noticed a big difference in how straight I was able to stand! I’m able to lay flat now and stand relatively straight. I can’t over-straighten or arch just back yet of course but atleast I’m not hunched over. My boobs are finally starting to soften up a bit. I never iced them to begin with but a friend said she iced hers for 48 hours and they never felt super sore and rock hard like I felt mine did. Almost all my steri strips are off now. I put a vasoline based vitamin A and vitamin D salve on the incisions per doctors orders after I shower every day. I’m still wearing a sports bra and my abdominal binder 24/7 except for showering. I’m passed the point of regret and wondering why I did this to myself. I can see improvements in my results every day!! Updated on 9 Nov 2020: I’m feeling better every day. My scar is a little uneven on my abdomen. I’m worried the right side might be hard to cover in swimsuits. My BA scars are healing great and won’t even be noticeable. Updated on 17 Nov 2020: I’m officially allowed to start cardio and isolated muscle workouts! I’m stoked!!! I’m also cleared to not wear a bra a night and I can wear other bras besides sports bras! I still have heaviness and numbness from about the nipple down. They are dropping and softening up more every day though. I bought a different compression garment to wear under clothes that isn’t so bulky. I can also stop wearing that so much too if I wish but my PS said most women continue to wear it a for a few months to help the swelling continue to decrease. My stomach is tight but around my sides, back, and even down through my hips is still pretty swollen. I was worried I should have begged for LIPO but my PS assured me there’s significant swelling still. I just want to see my end result!! Updated on 25 Nov 2020: I started my scar treatment last week. I also started cardio and light workouts. I feel more like myself but I still can’t jump or do the usual exercise I’m use to. I still have numbness in my abdomen and lower half of my breast. I don’t wear a bra at night anymore which is nice. I bought pull-up compression garment that looks slimmer under my clothes for daytime wear but I still do the white compression wrap from the doctor most of the time when I’m home and at night. I’m worried that my flanks and sides are just fat and not swollen. I asked my PS multiple times to do LIPO on them but he said I wouldn’t need it. I sure hope it’s just swelling that will continue to go down. Updated on 26 Dec 2020: My breast have dropped and fluffed. I feel I am back to normal in regards to that surgery. I was told to size up one more from what I thought I wanted but with covid and not having my husband there I rushed and got what I thought was going to be big for me. In the end, I kinda wish I had sized up one but I am happy with what I got. Last week I got the all clear to fully resume exercising and activities. I’m so excited to get back to working out and playing volleyball! I didn’t realize how tight my abdominal muscles are until I tried to do yoga stretches! My doctor said that will take time just to stretch them back out fully but that nothing I do now will ruin the work of sewing them back together. I have gained about 8 lbs since surgery (I assume some is the implants) but some isn’t. The tighter my waist gets the more unhappy I am that my doctor wouldn’t LIPO my flanks bc I have pretty significant muffin top now which means I STILL don’t feel comfortable and confident in jeans. My scar can be covered if I wear my underwear a little higher than normal. Updated on 12 Mar 2021: I don’t wear a binder usually at this point but I notice when I do there is a significant difference in swelling. Almost an inch difference when I measured my waist. These pictures are from 3 months post and I’m now 6 months post. I still don’t have a lot of feeling in my abdomen and I’m told it could be up to 2 years before it returns.
I've had 3 children, gained a lot of weight with each one. My breasts have grade 3 ptosis. I've breastfed 3 children for extended amount of time. I have rectus diastasis and hip pain often from my weak core. I can't wait to get my body back! I had my surgery last week and I'm 5 days post op. I couldn't be happier. I had an anchor mastopexy lift with implants, full abdominoplasty and liposuction of the axilla, hips flanks, and saddle bags.
From start to finish Dr Deisher and his staff thoroughly explained how the surgery would go. The Dr called the evening of my surgery to see how I was doing and asked if I had any questions. Everyone was super friendly and I highly recommend using Dr Deisher.
After breastfeeding two kids for a total of five years, it was finally time to get the boobs I always wanted! He was my first and only consultation I needed to know to book right away. I had the easiest and best experience and turnout I could have ever imagined!!! The only regret I have is not doing it sooner. If I ever need anything else done, he is the only one I would go to!
First off, i just want to say Dr. Deisher is one of the nicest and easiest to talk to doctors I’ve ever met. I felt super comfortable with everything he explained before and after my procedure and the results speak for themselves. I am so happy with everything i feel so much better about myself and it’s all thanks to him and the team at HPHS. Highly recommend and i am always referring my friends and family. Can’t wait to come back in the future. :)
Super great experience. No wait time. Easy to talk with. Complete professional that is genuinely concerned about his patients. His staff are very knowledgeable about each procedure he performs. Amazing.
Hi everyone! I decided to write a review because I had breast augmentation in 2012 and WISHED I had a site like this then. I’m currently scheduled for liposuction 4/25/19. I’m having my inherited saddle bags removed and while I’m under I decided to have other curves contoured as well!! Why not?! So I’m having my abdomen, love handles, and inner thighs done as well. Dr. David Deisher did my breast augmentation in 2012 and I fully trust him to do an amazing job again. His staff is wonderfully professional. Anna Phelps is so wonderful about making you feel completely comfortable and helpful with the decision making process. Looking forward to a new sculpted body for summer! I didn’t do the cool sculpting because I didn’t see enough positive results from others on here. I am 5’7” and weigh 168 lbs. I am a nurse practitioner and work pretty actively so I’m hoping the long weekend is enough recovery time. The surgery is scheduled for a Thursday and I plan to be at work Monday. Updated on 26 Apr 2019: I had surgery on the 25th and everyone couldn’t have been nicer. I had mine as late in the day as possible because I had Rounds to make before hand. So I was starving. Anyhoooo, surgery went well. I do have some pain but it’s tolerable. There was more of a burning pain right after I got home Yesterday and last night and Ice packs helped that more than anything. I was given prescription pain medication to take but I’m looking forward to just taking Ibuprofen because for me that works better than anything but I’m not able to for some time they said. My right lower back was cramping up, I had some muscle relaxers at home already and those helped as well! Ice packs were SOOOO helpful as well!! So use them. I’m able to walk around but tire out easily. My right saddle bag/thigh looks a lot smaller than my left and I’m hoping this balances out later. I’ve had VERY LITTLE drainage thus far. I was expecting to leak and drain everywhere but so far two small spots on my compression garment. ???????????? I can’t wait to shower tomorrow to see what it looks like under this garment! I have my follow up appointment Wednesday. Updated on 27 Apr 2019: I finally got to shower this morning. I have not had any of the excessive drainage that the physician warned me about. I did get light headed when trying to remove the bandaids and getting ready to shower. I had to take something to help me go to the bathroom because I’ve not gone in 3 days. Make sure you’re drinking LOTS of water and taking the stool softeners like they tell it to. I can’t wait to take ibuprofen because that works so much better for me! I have very little bruising, less than what I expected. Updated on 30 Apr 2019: Hi everyone! I went back to work on Monday (my procedure was Thursday). I was a little uncomfortable by the end of the day. I do a lot of sitting, driving, bending, kneeling and minimal lifting at my job. I’m a NP bedside wound care specialist at nursing homes. Buuutttt it was very tolerable. I have worn my garment basically 24/7. I take it off for maybe an hour to shower and let my skin breathe a little. I am completely off of any prescription pain medication and only taking Ibuprofen at morning and night (which I don’t believe I’m supposed to do yet but I can’t take the narcotic pain meds (too consitpating and Tylenol doesn’t do squat for me personally). I highly recommended wearing the compression garments because they are to help reduce swelling!! Reduced swelling=hopefully better results. I can tell a difference in my lateral thighs/saddle bags but I’m hoping the swelling settles and there’s even more of a difference, otherwise I may try coolsculpting to finish them to my desired size. I don’t think my weight has fluctuated at all really (they took 3L). You wouldn’t know I’ve had the abdomen liposuctioned besides the tenderness. No bruising there, it settled all in my pubic region (most distal sites really). Lots of swelling and tenderness there and in my thighs! Feels like I’ve had the hardest workout of my life basically. Sleeping well. Overall for 5 days out I’m dong well and would still do it again. Updated on 28 May 2019: Doing extremely well post-op. This garment is the most annoying part but I know it’s necessary. I’m hoping after all the swelling goes down my saddle bag region will have more improvement. I haven’t posted in awhile but I’ll add photos from recovery and most recent. I had my 3 week follow up Wednesday and I got the ok to stop wearing the garment, which has been nice. I’m having to massage some hardened areas. Overall I’m happy with results so far. Updated on 28 May 2019: Jus a few phots the I haven’t had time to post. I’ve been full released for all activities as of May 22. Currently on vacation and enjoying having a flatter belly and definitely reduced saddle bags. I’d like to see even more improvement in these areas but he says I still have a lot of swelling so we shall see.
Hi, y’all! Lisa here! I am a 39yo single mother of a now adult daughter in the USAF! My life has changed so much in the last year with divorce, job change and my new empty nest. I hit puberty at a young age and my Breast grew in saggy. I’ve also always been over weight. I decided several years ago to diet and lost over 100 pounds. I am currently 5’7, 155 pounds and a size 6. Don’t seem possible right? I fit that mess in a size 6 pants. I’m scheduled for a TT and lift/reduction on Jan 22nd. To say I’m elated is an understatement. However, also nervous. I know it’s normal. Any useful information would be greatly appreciated. I’ve learned so much since visiting Real Self. I ordered my sports bras today and am gearing up for sleeping preparations. I m still preparing questions for my doctor and love hearing the act care info. I want to be as prepared as possible. Thanks so much:)Updated on 11 Jan 2019: Yesterday was my pre op apt and it went great. I got a lot of great information regarding the procedure and recovery. My doctor has decided to do a no drain tube procedure and I’m actually pretty happy about it. Wasn’t expecting it but he had only good things to say and my research has provided the same good info. I rented a recliner last night to have for a month during recovery. I have a few things left to get and I’ll be ready. Only 12 day away:) Happy tears today!!Updated on 16 Jan 2019: Nerves are starting to set in a little. Definitely becoming more real. And all the questions and what if’s are popping up. Assuming this is pretty normal?! I’m not super worried but can’t help but have those pestering thoughts in the back of my mind. Mostly about my daughter already having lost one parent at 15. She’s 18 now and in the Air Force but I am her best friend. I’m not going to drive myself crazy with it. I know this is still what I want and the excitement is as equal as the anxiety! Subject to change the closer it gets. Hehe. Updated on 23 Jan 2019: Feelings are all over the place at this point. Nervous, exited, scared, happy.... I added a couple more pics of my yucky tummy. Can’t believe this time Tom it will be getting cut off. I more than anything what the healing process and results to be the best they can be. As anyone would. Haha. I’m most nervous about those things. It sounds silly but I keep having nightmares that i smoke cigarettes and ruin everything. Lol. I’ve never had even a remotely normal body since hitting puberty so this is my shot and it scares me to think something could go wrong. I’m thankful for this site. It has been so helpful. Just in case I wasn’t specific with my procedure. I’m having Abdominoplasty with muscle plication. And a mastopexy with a reduction of the right breast... no drains btw:) Wish me luck.Updated on 23 Jan 2019: These are some other pics that I’ve noticed since being on here that a lot of people take. My tummy is unique. Lol. I don’t see very many like it. I feel like it would take a miracle but a good board Certified doctor is my next best haha. Updated on 27 Jan 2019: I had my mommy makeover on tues. I hade full Abdominoplasty, mastopexy with a reduction in the right breast and muscle plication. Although petrified, I made it through just fine. The first 3 days were horrific. The pain was horrible! I was only prescribed Percocet every 4 hours. Whatever you do... take them every 4 hours if that’s all you’re prescribed. It will seem like they are doing nothing but it does take the edge off. I had buyers remorse, almost cried a couple times and didn’t think it was worth it. Oh how that changes on day 4:) Amazing what a few hours can do. I felt completely different day 4(Friday). I was able to get myself up with no help. The pain subsided dramatically. By Friday I could shower comfortably and take small walks around the house without feeling winded. My appetite came back as well, although portions are small because of it he stomach being so tight. I’m not sure how happy I am yet. Lol. I am pleased but I’m a worrier. I do have some pretty large love handles on both sides of my tummy and my breast are touching when I stand up. I keep seeing where those things correct themselves so I’m staying optimistic for the best results possible. I will talk to my doctor about them when I do my next appointment. I haven’t slept the last couple nights mostly because of discomfort. My back is hurting worse than anything and I have a bit of a cough when I lay down. It hurts to cough so I wheeze a little and it’s kept me up. I’m over my fear of coughing now and have got the junk out and am sure I will sleep tonight. I rented a recliner and have found the couch with pillows is more comfortable to me. The chair killed my back and I can’t get out with out help. So far so good and compared to day One, I feel great. Haha.
Dr. Asher and his staff are very nice and professional. His office and Surgery Center or very clean, and that is very important to me! I have always felt very comfortable going in for my visit. I am very happy with the outcome of my surgery and Dr. I sure made sure that I was happy! All in all it has been a great experience, he came highly recommended to me and I would highly recommend him to anyone!
Dr Deisher is the greatest, had my second procedure with him and would not go anywhere else, he is a very caring surgeon and does excellent work. Dr Deisher takes the time to explain everything to you and also listens to what you have to say.
Thank you for your question. The size of the breast and corresponding areola is somewhat subjective in that some patients prefer slightly smaller areolar diameter. At the time of a breast augmentation a areolar reduction can also be performed usually with a periareolar incision that often times heals quite well. Please be sure to discuss this with your plastic surgeon at the time of your consultation. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. Depending upon the size of breast you are seeking, a breast lift may be all that is needed. Please be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. I would recommend waiting until you are close to your pre pregnancy weight. We tell our patients to try to be within 10 lbs of the weight they realistically can maintain. I would also recommend a consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss treatment options. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. A full tummy tuck usually will remove a majority of the stretch marks from the belly button down. Stretch marks above the belly button may not be completely removed. At the time of your consultation with a plastic surgeon they should be able to give you a reasonable estimate in front of a mirror of how much skin they anticipate removing. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. At the time of your consultation with a plastic surgeon, please address your concern with them. This can be improved during surgery to obtain a smoother fold and closer match to the opposite breast. Good luck.
