Last time I had juvederm was 2017. 1 syringe of juve on may 2nd. I wasnt aware of having to avoid taking NSAIDs. I took it the day before. I have never experienced excessive bruising or hematomas/swelling and it's concerning me. The asymmetry of my lips is also concerning me because it's also extremely noticeable. Could the hematomas cause it to swell more on one side? I have only done a few cold compressions , applying arnica gel & messaging? Is there anything else I can do for swelling?
Answer: Selling after Juvederm ice time and massage will optimize the healing process ...any residual assymetry in about 4-6 weeks should subside secondary to the secondary swelling...if persists consider a touch up to optimize the aesthetic result ...I also find slow injection technique minimizes bruising along with immediate ice

Answer: NSAIDs and fillers We do generally recommend that NSAIDs are best avoided prior to elective filler injections. However, a single dose or two should not affect clotting in any way that is meaningful. Bruising and swelling in certain areas such as the lips or under the eyes is common and generally resolves in the first 4-7 days, but may take longer. You can try icing, massage, and arnica. However, it should resolve on its own with time. If you still feel asymmetric after 2 weeks, you can dissolve the product with hyaluronidase. I may stay away from further injections as you lips are already quite full. Best of luck.

Answer: Lip aug and haematoma I completely agree with what has been previously written. NSAIDS make platelets less sticky. Platelets Live about 10 days. When you take an NSAIDS for one day only 10% of your platelets are affected. Once a platelet is affected it is affected for its life span of 10 days. Days 2, 20%, Day 3 30% are affected etc. This is a technical issue with the injection. It will get betterStephen M. Answer: Lip augmentation and bruising A single Advil will never hurt anyone (better person who is severely allergic to it). When doctors say a person should not be taking NSAIDs before a procedure, it means regular intake of NSAIDs. You simply have a bruise where a needle hit a small blood vessel in your lips. This will pass. Apply warm, moist compresses which will help to solve the bruising. Good luck from New York City
