Why do some doctors do laser treatment with lower facelifts & others don't, and does profhilo impact the surgery? (Photos)

I am 54, 5.4 inches and 122 pounds. 1. I was looking into Lower face lift and some doctors do laser treatment and others don't. Why and why not? Should this impact decision? 2. If you do just a lower face lift now does this impact your upper face lift? 3. I was just in the Uk and my friends were talking about Profitol. How have the results been? Do american doctors have enough experience? How does this impact doing a lower face lift? Risks and problems?

A lower face/neck lift is so easy to undergo and especially with the addition of Morpheus and TCA peeling at the same time for the face,neck  and chest to make it all look great. It is best  done under local with a little iv sedation for complete comfort and you look amazing in just 2 days.

I ask my patients what their top 3 goals are. I then cater a surgical plan to meet those goals. 
There unfortunately is a lot of marketing mixed in. Let me assure you that there are no easy or quick fixes for any problem. If you want long lasting results that do not require a lot of maintenance then surgery is an option. If you want to have mild to moderate results and are ok with more time commitment for multiple treatments (and often times long term more money), then you can proceed with a multitude of nonsurgical treatments. They all have various benefits. However, the above holds true regarding time commitment, cost, and degree of improvement. 
There are many surgical approaches to facial rejuvenation. They have a multitude of names that confuse everyone, especially when surgeons begin to name them after themselves for marketing purposes. To address neck laxity, bands, and fat excess a neck lift alone can be sufficient. A facelift will address howling and deep nasolabial folds. Fat grafting is a good tool to fill volume loss. 
Lasers or peels accomplish the same thing. They smooth out the skin like sand paper. This is also another adjunct in addition to skin care regimens. 
A board certified plastic surgeon, passionate about facial rejuvenation can have an educational discussion to create a plan catered to your needs/goals. I think it is important to do your research. I think it is equally important to have a surgeon listen to your needs to supplement that research and answer some of your thoughtful questions. I hope you find someone you trust along the way. Great question.  A deep plane facelift is the gold standard for repositioning the soft tissue of the cheek, jawline and neck, allowing for removal of excess crepey skin.  Fractionated CO2 laser treatment is a way of tightening the skin through ablation and collagen remodeling.  If a patient has a certain degree of sun damage and or aging changes, it is frequently a good idea to combine the treatments. Although a consultation is the only way to ascertain if this combination would be best for you, your photos suggest that would be the optimal treatment path (in the right hands). I have not heard of "Profitol" and cannot comment on it.

Every patient presents with different diagnosis, and therefore a different treatment plan. For some non-surgical treatments such as lasers or fillers may be enough, for some- it will not be effective. Based on your limited photos- it appears that you would benefit from a facelift/ neck lift with muscle tightening. In the right hands- you can expect a very rejuvenating and long lasting result. In addition, to maintain a youthful look - you can add non-surgical treatments to achieve the best result. The gold standard for facial rejuvenation are surgical procedures to lift and tighten, which  non-surgical procedures can not achieve. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS and discuss the details of the procedure

Laser and face lifting can be combined at the same time. However certain portions of the lift require a decrease in treatment energy. By upper facelift if you are meaning browlift, it’s a separate procedure. If you are referring to a mid facelift, this ca be attained with a deep plane lift.

Lower face/necklift on its own provides amazing contour to the neck and face, not requiring laser. Furthermore, laser can actually damage skin that is addressed with this surgical procedure. Laser may be performed, but separate from surgery and best after, not before. Generally laser in the face is performed more readily than in the neck due to safety concerns.
I do not believe Profitol is a technology offered in the US.
I would recommend you see a board certified plastic surgeon in consultation. You can find one at plasticsurgery.org.

The issues ypu mentioned can be addressed to a well-executed Lower Face Bulldog Aesthetics. The laser can certainly be used to improve the result in some patients, but as each patient's situation is unique, individual consideration is required. Hello! Thanks for the photos and great questions. Some choose to do a lower facelift and necklift only if the upper face doesn't need much lifting or volume correction. In my experience, in order to blend the results, some portion of the "upper" face still needs to be addressed. As for Profitol, I'm not familiar. I have heard of Profhilo which provides hyaluronic acid to the skin. I'm not sure if that specifically is available in the US, but we have other ways of delivering similar things. Some form of skin care regimen before and after will optimize your outcome. Hope this helps!

The goal of a lower face and neck lift based on your photographs it Is to tighten the jowls, tighten the platysma neck muscle cords, and tighten loose facial  skin. Your Upper lip wrinkles can be smooth out with either a laser or dermabrasion. Dermabrasion tends to give less hypopigmentation. The lines on your forehead best be treated with Botox.
