Is it ever a good idea to perform a stand-alone neck lift or stand alone lower facelift? I have been told that not lifting the whole face causes problems in the draping of the skin, like a ripple or wave that has no where to go. Is this inevitable with these stand-alone procedures or are there techniques that avoid these issues? Many thanks.
I had a chin implant 2 years ago hoping to fix the pressure on my chin and stop the dropping on side of my lips that gives me a sad downward lips. Unfortunately the chin implant didnt improve my looks and the droppiness on my lower face is visible. What procedure would improve the lower part of ny face? Thanks
Hi I am 23 and I have intense marionette/nasolabial lines that connect to each other when I talk. I think they are mostly generic as my parents both have deep lines in the same areas as well as heavy jowling. However, I also had my lower jaw pulled forward by an orthodontist as a child which significantly altered the appearance of my face and I believe that could be a factor. My understanding is that the best way to correct these lines is a lower facelift, however I am of course going to be incredibly hard pressed to find any reputable doctor willing to perform that on me for way least 10-15 years. I know fillers are an option but I fear they are only a very temporary fix and may migrate. I have a hard time finding other people my age with this issue as it seems to be more of a problem with my actually skeletal structure than with aging, however I know it will worsen as I age. Is there anything I am not considering in treating these? In the past I used to wonder if pallete widening or jaw augmentation would be beneficial to my appearance. Could either of those help? In general how is a problem like this approached? I worry it is unfixable without a face lift, which is not accessible to me at this age. You can see in the photos that the lines are mostly visible when I talk, and in some lighting are less apparent.
Im 30 and slim. I had chin liposuction but they only did under the chin and not along the jaw as there are more nerve endings there. I dont like the shape of my jaw, it is quite square. In the pictures, I show how my jaw looks when I pull my skin tighter, and the shape is so much nicer. Its around the jowl area I dont like. Would a face lift fix this? Im also curious about jaw filler if that would improve the appearance of my jaw too. Thank you
I lost weight and feel I have sagging loose skin in neck and in my lower face. I had a mini lift but it didn't make a difference on lower area. I went back and the doctor recommended a neck lift but said that still wouldn't address the lines in my lower face. I included a photo using temporary face tape that mimics a face lift. This is the results I'm looking for permanently. I also include what my face looks like naturally. What surgical procedure would tighten this extra skin ?
I am planning for a lower facelift in mid-April and am thinking ahead of what I may or may not be able to do myself. Will I be able to resume (fairly) strenuous yard work such as mowing with a walk-behind mower for my small yard by 6 weeks after surgery?
