Suture above jaw line since neck/lower facelift - is it supposed to be like this?

Hi, I have had this suture (that’s what surgeon said it was) since neck / lower face lift. Is it supposed to be like that? It’s only on one side. Dr said it will dissolve in 9 months but it’s not changed since day one. When I open my mouth it makes a large dent.

Fat grafting to the face during the face/neck lift is done but not recommended since too often the fat just migrates or slides down from the upper cheeks down to the mid or lower cheeks. Spot liposuction with the micro canulas under local and/or steroid injections can usually fix the problem.
