Juvederm Voluma is the only efficiently cross-linked gel filler formulated with lidocaine to instantly add volume to the cheek and midface areas, and can last up to two years with optimal treatment. Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra-Plus are hyaluronic acid fillers formulated with lidocaine that are injected into facial tissues to smooth wrinkles and folds, especially around the nose and mouth. Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra-Plus can last up to 12 months. Juvederm Voluma, Juvederm Ultra, and Juvederm Ultra-Plus are all FDA approved injectable fillers.
Dear Bestinvestment,For increasing volume in the check, Voluma is a great option as it is a thicker formula compared to Juvaderm. I have seen great results with this product and it can last up to 2 years. In terms of price, I would listen to what your doctor is telling you as the product used is more important than the price. Hope this helps!Best regards,Nima Shemirani
While both Juvederm Voluma and Juvederm Ultra & Ultra Plus are composed of hyaluronic acid – a natural moisturizing component of our skin – each has a slightly different formulation. They both have cross-linked molecules that help to build a matrix to support the skin and engender new production of collagen, but the Voluma molecules are more tightly cross-linked and the formulation is thicker. Therefore, it creates and sustains more volume, lasting up to 2 years. Juvederm is thinner, only lasts about a year, and can fill in wrinkles, lips and nasolabial folds, but cannot create significant volume in the midface. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist will help you decide which – or both – of these highly effective HA volumizers is right for you.
Voluma is longer lasting (up to 18 months) than Juvaderm. Sculptra, Implants or fat are also alternatives for the cheeks. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for sharing your question. Voluma is made with a different hyaluronic acid cross-linking method than Juvederm which allows it to have a longer duration of effect than Juvederm. Depending on the location of placement in the face you can anticipate 3-4x's the effects of Juvederm for less than twice the price. Hope this helps.
Voluma XC is a very thick hyaluronic acid filler with Vycros linkage which provides more lift and which is more durable than Juvederm. Juvederm, a more hydrophilic form of hyaluronic acid filler, is more suitable for plumping lips and addressing nasolabial folds, but has far less cheek lifting ability. Both fillers are Allergan products, designed to address specific needs. The longevity study on Voluma showed a 2 year result with 6 syringes. I generally advise my patients that it will last one year plus with 1-2 syringes, while Juvederm lasts about 6-9 months.
Hi,Voluma was designed with specific hylacross technology to gain FDA approval of duration of two years. This is why it is priced higher from Allergan than Juvederm which has approval for one year.Warmly,Dr.Liu
Voluma is the ideal filler for restoring volume to the mid-face/cheek area. It is the thickest of the fillers and lasts the longest -- about 2 years. The price reflects this fact. Hope this helps.
We use a variety of fillers and a lot of the pricing seems to reflect how long each product lasts. Generally, we have had at least 1 year of effect with Juvederm (sometimes longer) but up to 2 years with Voluma - provided it is injected properly and by an experienced injector.A consultation is always a good bet to ensure that you are in good hands.Hope that helps.
Voluma is a thicker and more tightly cross linked hyaluronic acid filler. It can last up to 2 years. Juvederm lasts about 6-12 months. Voluma is a good choice for cheek augmentation. Always seek treatment from a qualified physician.
The Voluma will reach its final results in about 2 weeks. At that time, the tissue integration is complete and the swelling should have subsided. Anytime after that is good to get a touch up if you want to correct minor abnormalities.
Filler should not move or migrate assuming that it has been placed properly. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon or cosmetic dermatologist to be examined in person.
I have never heard of Voluma causing permanent pigment discoloration or dimples. I would recommend that you schedule an appointment with a dermatologist to have this assessed in person. So sorry that you are experiencing this.
