I have been told 9 months, 12 months and 18 months by different doctors. I know that it is supposed to last up to 24 months, but I want to know doctors' actual experiences from working with this product. I am hoping that it breaks down sooner rather than later. I have decided against hyaluronidase.

Voluma is a very good filler for your cheeks and midface. It is a bit of a larger molecule, so it is usually placed deeper in the skin, (subdermal). The sales people will tell you it lasts about 2 years. In our experience it last about a year and a half. As far as Juvederm Ultra Plus, (which we like for the nasolabial folds), and Juvederm Ultra, (which we like for the lips), the sales people will tell you it lasts about a year, in reality about 9 months. Every person is different so it can last a longer or shorter time period, depending on the patient. It has been our experience that some folks that are hypermetabolic, (in the gym twice a day, etc.), tend to break down Botox and Fillers faster. Each individual is different though. Please see a well trained, experienced injector. Discuss your goals, and you should be able to come up with a plan.Jeffrey J. Answer: #voluma lasts up to 16 months Voluma is a great product that can last up to 16 months or longer. I generally tell my patients that they should consider a year to year and a half at best. The original studies that were done for this product used to three and four syringes . I believe that the length of time this product lasts is related to the quantity injected. If you are unhappy with your result and you have and want it to go away I suggest you use hyaluronidase, it is a very safe drug.

With that being said, the average injected during the study was 6.8mL, which is basically 7 syringes. Depending on the person's lifestyle (activity, length of time in the sun, hydration and diet), I have seen the product dissipate faster. Answer: Voluma results Part of the confusion is how it is used. Any filler injected superficially in a highly mobile area does not last as long as a less mobile area and deep injection. Voluma used deep along the bone in a non mobile area like the cheeks should last at least 2 years.
