Do doctors charge to tweak areas that don’t look symmetrical after fillers?

First, it takes a couple of weeks before your lips to settle down after Volbella injections. If you still look asymmetrical at that time, by all means see your dermatologist again. You may be able to have a “tweak” for no charge or just the charge of the extra product. Every practitioner differs in his or her policies. Consulting in-depth with a board-certified dermatologist before your injections will help you learn about their procedures and policies.

It depends. If you are not satisfied with the results, you can have it dissolved or corrected by the doctor. You have to ask your doctor about this.

Thank you for your question. This is more related to office policies which differ from one office to another. There are some physicians that may do a touch up at no additional charge, and there are others that will definitely charge you for the cost of the extra filler. This is something that you will have to ask your treating provider. It is best to discuss these types of policies prior to your treatment so that you are not upset down the line. Each injecting MD has their own office guidelines as to touch ups with additional filler volumes. Most MDs do charge a "small fee" to cover the additional costs of more filler volume. This question needs to be addressed before the initial injection visit. On the other hand, many many times the patient restricts the MD in using enough initial volume of filler, because of costs. Than when the healing phase in over the patient sees the extra volume of filler was needed just as the injecting MD advised. In this case I see no reason NOT to charge full fee, because the patient did not desire to all the advised amounts to be injected initially. 

Sometimes they will save one tenth of the syringe to use as a "touch-up" for if the patient returns. Sometimes I will use this if I am already seeing a patient for another service (such at botox). But if an appointment is made solely for a filler touch up, there is usually an injector fee that is charged, as well as any new syringes of filler that are used on the patient. Hope this helps!
