Age:35 Weight: 120 What procedures are there to help with my deep nasal folds? I don’t want fillers. Would a mid facelift help? I feel like my deep nasal folds ages me a lot. I’m not sure if I have enough excess skin for a facelift. I don’t want a thread lift either as it doesn't last that long.
Answer: How you may benefit from microneedling Hello, and thank you for your question. You may want to further explore non-surgical skin tightening procedures, particularly, those that help build collagen. Profound RF is one such procedure, which combines the healing powers of microneedling with the stimulation of radiofrequency (RF) energy. It triggers your body’s own rejuvenating processes so that your skin produces almost six times the normal amount of elastin and twice the amount of collagen in a single treatment. It is best to schedule an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with extensive experience with injectables. Your surgeon can assess your skin, recommend the best procedure or combination of procedures, and ensure the best possible results.

Answer: Very difficult At rest, you have very little nasolabial fold. With animation and smiling, the fold deepens. It is very difficult to treat what I call a "dynamic line" formed by muscle movement. Most procedures treat static conditions and dynamic lines are very difficult to mitigate. I would not advise doing any type of surgery. It's best to wait on any treatment.

Answer: How to improve nasolabial folds When it comes to aging, the most common problem is volume loss and skin laxity/drooping. Fortunately, there are multiple options to fix these aging side-effects. For patients wanting to correct their nasolabial folds, there are surgical and non-surgical options. You are still young, and would not require a facelift if you are not ready for one. Based on your photos provided, you could improve this area by adding volume to it by undergoing facial fat transfer instead of using injectables/fillers. The fat transfer option would be more permanent/long-term whereas injectable fillers may last between 6-18 months. The fat transfer allows you to use your body's own fat that has been harvested, processed and injected into the nasolabial fold region. It is important to find a provider who is qualified and knowledgeable in this procedure to ensure best results. Your physician should do a full facial evaluation, understand your goals, and provide the best treatment plan to get to your desired results.

Answer: 35 years old - What procedures are there to help with my deep nasal folds? Hello @thien0403 thank you for your question. My point of view is very different, it would be a less aggressive approach in which I suggest you to think about non-surgical treatments that improves the cheeks Ultherapy, fixer even plasma gel to generate volume without fillers. Another option is to remove heaviness from the cheeks by performing a bichectomy to refine your cheekbones and weight from the cheeks. For more information and recommendations is best to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.

Answer: Deep Nasolabial and Marionette Folds Dear thien0403, Thank you for sharing your photos. In the non-animated photo, you have a natural separation of your (upper) nasolabial and (lower) marionette folds and passive crease as the upper and lower cheek slide toward the nose and chin. While smiling, the zygomaticus or cheek muscle group pulls on the lateral upper lip and modiolus, shortening and lifting the upper lateral lip. This “tucking effect under the skin and fat, deepens and lengthens the fold(s) actively. Visual skin laxity begins when normal collagen restoration diminishes and gravity pulls the tissues downward, deepening these folds and adding to the jowl and the softening jawline. Options as you have partially stated include: 1. Consult with a talented and artfully skilled Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. 2. Injectables to soften the folds directly. 3. Threadlift to pull the sliding skin upwardly. 4. Sculptra skin tightening 5. Sub-malar/jowl/jawline mini-lipo-contouring with upper central cheek fat grafting. 6. A mid-face lift would require an incision in the eyelid lifting the mound of the upper central cheek with minimal or no effect on the lower cheek/jowl/jawline. I hope this helps. All the best!
