It depends on your health and the skill of your surgeon. In my practice, safety is #1, and for this reason, I require that all of my patients receive full medical clearance preoperatively. No matter the age, I require an EKG -- because it's crucial to have a road map of your anatomy: it's best to discover issues *before* patients are in the operating room, not during! In your case, after liposuction, it's important to ensure that your blood count has reestablished after having had liposuction, which can deplete your red cells and white cells due to blood loss and hemodilution during surgery. Also, is your surgeon skilled in facelifting? Or is your surgeon more of a "body" surgeon? I would make sure to look at the before-and-after photos and have a detailed consultation about your facial surgery. In my practice, I often perform revision facial surgery to improve on subpar results from other offices, Often these result from patients understandably not knowing that not all plastic surgeons are expert at facelifting.
