Am I too young for a neck lift and facelift? I’m 27 53kg and 5’3. I’ve always noticed at a young age early signs of aging. I can see early onset of jowling and heavyness in my lower face. It’s always bothered me.I’ve always had a soft type stretchy skin my whole life too. I had liposuction on my double chin. But my skin seems worse now! Even more stretchy and loose! I don’t mind scarring at all never had issues with scars. My neck is my biggest insecurity. Can't want to imagine my neck in 10yrs
Answer: Neck/facelift Thanks for your question! I would strongly discourage you from doing anything surgically. Everyone has loose skin with their chin/neck in that position. Perhaps some good skin care and noninvasive technology can provide mild skin tightening. Good luck!

Answer: Non-surgical options to consider Hello, and thank you for your question. Some of the photos you shared have you posing with your neck down, making it difficult to examine the degree of skin laxity you have. But given your age and your general facial profile, you most likely don’t have advanced signs of aging on the lower face. You may benefit more from procedures that boost collagen production to naturally tighten and firm the skin. You may also consider a PDO threadlift (uses dissolvable sutures to lift tissue and tighten skin for a noticeably younger appearance) or RF microneedling (Profound RF or Virtue RF) that combines the rejuvenating benefits of microneedling with the stimulation of radiofrequency (RF) energy to renew the skin from the inside out. A combination of procedures can offer optimum results as well. The best way to determine how to achieve your goals would be to schedule an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon. Your surgeon can assess your skin, customize the best treatment plan, and ensure the best possible outcome.

Answer: Treatment Options to Address Lower Face Sagging Thank you for your question and pictures! In reading your question, it seems like you are the type of patient who has more aging of the neck and chin area as opposed to the upper face and midface. Aging of the neck is very common before aging of the face. It's one of the things that is most frustrating to many patients. There are many changes to the face and neck as you age. Some of the changes are specifically at the skin level, and some at the deeper levels of the fat, retaining ligaments as well as the muscles. There are many nonsurgical and surgical options to treat each of these different areas. Some can be done together and it really depends how much improvement you want to see as well as what specifically bothers you. If there is significant sagging, surgery is usually the preferred procedure but can still be combined with injections and laser treatments. In general, think of surgery as addressing any excess skin and laxity as well as removing fat. Think of laser as tightening the skin levels. Again, injections like Kybella can nonsurgically help diminish the fat and offer improvement and there are all sorts of laser procedures that can tighten different layers as well. Most of these procedures can be done safely and the results are very satisfying. An in-office private consultation and examination with a board-certified plastic surgeon would be the best way to fully see and address your specific concerns and determine the right treatment plan. I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of eyelid surgery but also offers all the nonsurgical options such as injectables and laser treatments. Go over your concerns with them and make sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and an idea of the pros and cons to each of them as well as realistic expectations. I hope my answer helps and if it does, please take a moment to upvote this answer on the “response”button on the top right. Have a great day.

Answer: Too young for a facelift? Looking at your pictures, you have a beautiful face, nice contours, and normal skin elasticity. The reason why your neck and jaw line skin bunches up when you bring your chin into your neck, is because this is a normal phenomenon that happens with everyone, even very young individuals. Normal people don’t go around with their chins tucked into their necks. As long as you avoid this, then you will be in good shape!
