Acne scars can be improved with Bellafill. Fillers are a great option for cheeks and temples. Implants are another option for augmenting the cheeks. I hope this helps.
Your best bet is to have an in-person consultation and evaluation to determine which treatment options would best address your concerns. There are better fillers for the cheeks and temples these days including: Voluma, Restylane Lyft, Sculptra, etc. Acne scars are treated most effectively with a combination of treatments including lasers, microneedling, fillers, chemical peels, subcision, at home skin care, etc. Usually multiple treatment sessions are needed. It is an ongoing process and commitment is key. The goal should be improvement and not total elimination. Make sure you find an experienced provider to minimize complications. Best wishes.
Hi Anon. You do have very strong cheekbones and to get a softer appearance, using a dermal filler in the mid face would be one solution. We prefer Restylane Lyft, Radiesse and Sculptra in the cheeks, but with the right injector you have many options. Hyaluronic acid products like Restylane Lyft tend to last about 9 months, Radiesse about 12 months and finally Sculptra 2 years or more.To see an example very much like yours where Sculptra was used for one of our Los Angeles patients, click on the link below. For the acne scars, we would not use fillers. The scars are too small for good results. Wider rolling scars are often appropriate for dermal fillers, but smaller scars that have sharper edges do not respond well.
Nope! I would prefer Voluma, Restylane Lyft, Radiesse or Sculptra for the cheeks and temples. These fillers are hearty enough to create long term results and lifting of the depressed tissues. Ultra plus particles are too fragile for these areas. Have a formal consultation first! Good luck. Dr. Aldo
A combination approach will give the most improvement to acne scars. These types of scars need a combination of lasers, Cosmelan, microneedling/prp, subcision and fillers (Bellafill). It will take a series of treatments and may need some treatments to maintain. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an acne scarring expert. Best, Dr. Emer
There are various fillers that can be used for treating the 3 areas that you mention. Juvederm Ultra Plus is quite versatile and can be used safely and effectively in all 3 areas. Depending on the degree of hollowing in the temples or cheeks, your dermatologist may consider other fillers, including those in the Juvederm family such as Juvederm Volift or Voluma. Much more important than the choice of filler is the choice of an expert physician injector such as a dermatologist to optimize safety and to give the best, natural looking and symmetric results possible.
The best single way to treat all of these areas is with Sculptra and Voluma. Acne scars may require additional treatment with lasers such as Fraxel or eMatrix to fully correct the scars. Please consult an expert in scars and cosmetic injections for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
For areas that require more dramatic volume such as the temples or the cheek bone, I prefer to use Juvederm VOLUMA although Juvederm Ultra Plus can also provide decent results but does not last as long. Acne scars are best treated with Bellafill which is specifically designed for acne scars. Juvederm Ultra Plus is not good for acne scars due to the superficial nature of these scars and the Juvederm will be visible under the skin and may cause skin discoloration. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MDBoard-Certified Plastic SurgeonExpert injector@drjohnsonlee
There is absolutely nothing better than using your own fat for treating hollowed-out areas on the face, be the temple area, the cheek bones or anything else for that matter. Find yourself the most experienced plastic surgeon like myself, who is well-versed with fat grafting. A well performed procedure of fat grafting will provide you with natural looking and permanent results. It should also be considerably less expensive in the long run than using fillers of any kind. Good luck from New York City
There will be no effect at all on the sinuses. The sinuses will be on the other side of the bone and filler will not penetrate the bone. The main risk will be intravascular injection or an asymmetric injection. Best of luck. Gary Linkov, MD
There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have...
I recommend returning to your injector for an evaluation. It appears from your photo that it may be normal bruising, but the numbness is not typical at this point. Your injector should be able to advise you.
