Answer: Asymmetric Breasts Hello,This is a common phenomenon due to the fact that some women's breast are not just asymmetric in size, but also in shape, that is to say one has more skin than the other, almost always the larger breast. So, if all the surgeon does is compensate for volume, the smaller breast will look much higher, firmer, and filled, the larger one that gets the smaller implant will look sad and droopy. ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeons who specialize in all forms of cosmetic breast surgery could have helped you make better decisions, including the use of a breast lift/reduction to equalize your original breasts, placing the implant in a dual plane/subpectoral position, and avoiding nipple incisions, the latter two to minimize your risk of capsular contracture. Best of luck!

Answer: Breast Asymmetry After Surgery Thank you for your question! It is very common for patients to notice some asymmetry during their early healing process after breast augmentation surgery. It takes some time to see your final results, so it is important to be patient. Make sure to consult with your board-certified plastic surgeon regarding any questions or concerns during your recovery as he or she knows you best! Congratulations on your procedure!
