I had a facetite procedure with Dr Tom Liu 3 days ago and I couldn’t be more happy with this experience, as well as my results. I’m 38 and the past couple of years I started to notice a little bit of sagging and fullness in my neck. What I liked about facetite is it tightens the neck as well as my lower face and I definitely had fullness in my lower face. Procedure day was great! I took some Valium to help me relax. Dr. Liu carefully marked me and made sure I knew what he was going to do and that I was happy with the plan. Numbing me up was the worst part, but even so, it was completely tolerable, especially with the Valium on board. He was gentle and took his time and after just a couple minutes I was numb and then felt no pain the rest of the procedure. He had some good music playing, I was able to talk if I needed to and he made sure to check in with me throughout the treatment. When we were done his extremely kind and knowledgeable assistant put a compression wrap on me, and then I was on my way home. When I got home I started icing and kept my head elevated. I took two doses of pain meds but honestly I probably didn’t even need it. The next morning I woke up with zero pain, unless I touched the treatment areas. But I’m on day three and haven’t needed a pain med, except for that first day. I only have three tiny sutures. One behind each ear and one of the chin. My neck is SNATCHED and I’m so happy with this whole experience so far and really glad that I decided to do it. I had no idea my neck could look this good, I can’t wait to see how it looks in a couple weeks when all the swelling goes down and the bruising fades. Highly recommend FaceTite with Dr. Liu.
I never really felt bothered by my cellulite. I always just thought it was something I would have to deal with, best I could do is make adjustments to my wardrobe, swim suits, and underwear to cover it up. To my surprise, I learned there was a very simple, minimally, invasive, minimally uncomfortable procedure that permanently removes the dimpling caused by cellulite, and the whole process took less than 2 hours! The Avéli procedure is no less than amazing! Coupled with the Alastin Skincare ReFORM and RePAIR, I saw results almost immediately. Over the weeks, my thighs and buttocks are dramatically more smooth and firm. I would 100 percent recommend the Avéli procedure to anyone who is bothered by cellulite and dimpling in lieu of a more invasive, more costly procedure like Liposuction or Brazilian Butt Lift. You won’t regret it!
Dr. Liu made me feel safe, cared for and very well informed during my entire journey. He didn't just answer questions, but rather helped educate with specifics and reasoning in a simple way for someone without medical background to understand. I never felt rushed or hurried in any of our meetings. His entire team is extremely detail oriented, prompt, informative and especially caring. You can truly tell Dr. Liu is passionate about his profession, METICULOUS and understands the heightened anxieties of undergoing the procedure with little ones at home. I am THRILLED with my results and although recovery was intense, I would do it all over again! I would recommend Dr. Liu to anyone considering the procedure, it is a big step but one I was so thankful to take with the guidance and encouragement of his team!
Dr. Liu and his team are true experts. Early December 2023, I had a tummy tuck, breast lift, liposuction and fat transfer (into breasts), and my experience with Dr. Liu and his team was nothing short of EXCELLENT. Dr. Liu spent the time explaining my range of options, shared his professional expertise on what would give me the results desired (even if different than what I walked in asking for), and with his team provided me with an end-to-end wonderful experience. While the lead up, surgery, and aftercare itself were fantastic, Dr. Liu had a wonderful eye for what would be great for my frame and my aesthetic (wanting natural!). My breasts and TT incisions look amazing, but I have to say the lipo results are over the top fantastic. The flank (love handle) liposuction was done so well that it looks like I received a new tush! Waist is snatched, bum and breasts lifted. Feeling and looking amazing. With respect to my recovery, my pain management was so much better than I expected and my after care was attentive and effective. I'm so grateful for my experience with Dr. Liu and the SVIA team. I only wish I'd had my procedure earlier.
I had been wanting a breast augmentation for as long as I could remember and I finally got my boobies done on January 19th! I must say I am super happy with my experience with Dr. Tom Liu! He is truly a master of his craft and I never once doubted choosing to go with him. My surgery day went by like a breeze. The staff at the surgery center had nothing but great things to say about him and consistently assured me that I was in the best hands. I wanted to make this review to not only recommend Dr. Liu to anyone interested in getting a breast augmentation but also to share what low profile implant results look like. There weren’t a lot of reviews with low profile implants so it was hard to find good reference photos. I hope this post helps any ladies looking for a small boost! I’m 5’3 and 124lbs. My bwd is 13 cm. I got sientra 250cc on the left and 280cc on the right. I will be honest- I am experiencing a little bit of boob greed! However, this is exactly what I asked from Dr. Liu and he delivered! The goal was to fill out my tops more and achieve a more natural appearing result. I also wanted the option to dress my breasts up or down so low profile was the best option for me. I am a week post op so there is still quite a bit of swelling. I’m excited to see my final result once I’m fully healed. Updated on 6 Feb 2024: I feel like they’re settling in and softening up pretty quickly. I’m loving my results more and more everyday. I have occasional zingers that last maybe 2 seconds then go away. Other than that, I’m healing nicely. I’m feeling grateful and happy with the sizes I went with! My family and friends have told me they look so natural! Updated on 29 Feb 2024: I have officially hit 6 weeks post op. The recovery has been painless and quick! My nipple sensitivity has finally returned to normal. I never lost it but it was hyper sensitive the first 1-4 weeks post op. I started out wearing AA or A cups and today I’m fitting a C cup perfectly.
I am not one to write reviews...good or bad, but there is no way I was going to pass up the opportunity to share my experience with Dr. Liu and the master surgeon that he is. My breast augmentation has been years in the making...like literal YEARS. I have wanted to increase my bust size since 8TH GRADE! That's right...I was 13 years old and my best friend was gifted by the boob gods the minute puberty hit. The envy was REAL. My natural size was always around a 34A-36B. All the push-up bras and chest exercises in the world would bring me no closer to my dreams. The only reason I didn't end up with a pair of big beautiful implants sooner was my desire to breastfeed my future children and a lack of disposable income. I religiously followed other reviews on Real Self, convinced I would have to travel to Miami or Orange County to seek out the premier plastic surgeon. I would scroll through countless photos of women with my same body type (height/weight), making mental notes on size, placement, recovery necessities, pre-op supplements, etc. I was blessed with my awesome kid approx. 6 years ago and breastfed until she was a little over 2 years old. Occasionally my engorged breasts were made of dreams! They looked amazing, but alas, temporary. I was lucky to never have issues with sagging, but the little volume I once had left as soon as preschool started. This is when my search for a plastic surgeon started to become a real option. I would save money every month, not knowing how much I would need, especially with the changing economy and global impact Covid had on elective cosmetic procedures. There are several well-known surgeons in the Sacramento area, some have even performed breast augmentation mommy makeovers on close friends. But their before/after work online wasn't convincing me that they were MY surgeon. I have always said, "If I'm laying down, I still want my breasts to stand up." I wasn't looking for the "natural" result, but I also didn't want to be a guest on "Botched". This January, I happened across a review for Dr. Tom Liu and his practice Silicone Valley Institue for Aesthetics (SVIA). Not only was the review extremely flattering, but I found myself impressed with every single one of his before/after gallery photos. Booking a consultation with Dr. Liu felt like a no-brainer. While I don't believe I personally knew anyone that had gone to him, his work spoke for itself. Dr. Liu has multiple office locations, but luckily for me there was one in the Sacramento Area (although I probably would have travelled!) My consultation was in March and I booked the same day for an breast augmentation with an internal galaflex mesh bra this November! Dr. Liu was incredibly professional, took his time to explain everything, even answered my "silly" questions. Even though I come with a healthcare background, he did not rush through any information. His process was thorough and I never felt pressure to add-on a breast-lift or mommy makeover. Dr. Liu made it clear that he wanted to give me the aesthetic that I wanted to achieve, in a realistic manner. There was no judgement of my request for larger implants and he made sure his focus was on me and not my boyfriend when it came to understanding what MY goals were. In addition, Dr. Liu's front office staff and medical staff were sweet, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience comfortable and enjoyable. Two weeks prior to my surgery, I met with Dr. Liu at the office again to narrow down final sizes and profiles for my implants. I was 145lb, 5'3" at my pre-op appointment. We decided together that to achieve the aesthetic I was going for, I would need a 575-620cc high profile implant that would be placed sub-fascially through an infra-mammary incision, along with the galaflex internal bra. My goal was to have 620cc on both sides, and Dr. Liu said he would try to achieve this, but I deferred to his discretion if I needed different sizes in order to achieve the most symmetrical look. I opted for the internal bra because the implants are on the larger side and I wanted to decrease the chance of the implants "bottom-ing out" or migrating laterally off my chest wall. The galaflex would be placed through the same incision as the implants, but would require bi-lateral drains that would be removed approx. a week after surgery. The drains would help minimize the odds of developing a hematoma or capsular conracture. Dr. Liu also uses local nerve blocks at the ribcage in order to minimize pain for the first 24 hours and potentially less use of narcotic pain medications during the recovery. All of my pre & post op medications were available for me to pick up a week before my surgery at my pharmacy and then the waiting game began! Day of Surgery: I took a prescribed Valium so that would actually sleep and then an additional dose on the way to the surgery center. I was his first surgery of the day so I was there by 6AM! The check in process was a breeze and the nurses at the surgery center were kind and helped ease my nerves through laughter. Dr. Liu stopped into my pre-op room and drew all of the landmarks and measurements directly on my chest, explaining everything again with such precision and compassion. He joked about being OCD and I told him that I wouldn't have picked a cosmetic surgeon who wasn't OCD! I took my prescribed Gabapentin and put on a Scopolamine patch prior to meeting the Anesthesiologist, who assured me he would not tape over my eyelash extensions (probably my biggest concern for the last 48 hours!) The last thing I remember was scooting onto the OR table from the gurney and telling Dr. Liu that was as long as I had ever remained awake prior to surgery (I typically don't make it out of pre-op!) He told me to try and remember what the first song was during surgery, but once I closed my eyes in the OR suite, there was no remembering anything! 2 hours later, I awoke in recovery....NAUSEOUS!!! No pain, incredibly groggy, but so so nauseous. The recovery nurse gave me some IV zofran but nothing was helping. I had nothing to actually throw up, but my stomach was doing flips. The Anesthesiologist checked in on me as well, because the only words I could say repeatedly were "I'm just so nauseous!". My boyfriend helped put my pajamas back on and the nurse taught him how to empty my drains. I remember being so grateful to know how to perform this task, because he has a pretty weak stomach when it comes to anything medical...but he powered through and I made a promise to him in my head that I would take care of it all once I was more alert. The drive home was smooth, I never threw up, but continued to say how nauseous I was...I'm sure he was thankful nothing ever came up! At home..I slept...HARD. It was glorious! When I woke up about 3-4 hours later, the nausea was gone, I still didn't have any pain, but I was starving. Plain toast has never tasted so good! Around 5pm that night, Dr. Liu called to check on me and let me know that the surgery went extremely well. He was able to put 590cc on my left side and 620cc on my right side for near perfect symmetry! I had asked him to take a photo in the OR, which he usually does not like to do, but because I am a nurse, he obliged and sent me the image that night! They were PERFECT! If I was a crier, I would have been balling! Because my first follow-up appointment falls during the holidays, one of his very skilled medical assistants will evaluate my drains and remove them if I have had adequate output. If not I will wait until the following week to have Dr. Liu remove them. My plan is to return to work in 2 weeks after my surgery and so far I feel like that is an attainable goal! Post Op Day 1: A breeze on the pain front, but my arms/chest/back were sore and tight. Because the implants are not under the muscle, I have no animation or squareness to my implant. I also started taking Bromelian and Arnica to reduce inflammation, swelling and bruising around the clock. The only medication I am required to take until completion is Keflex (antibiotic) and I have Tylenol, Valium, and Oxycodone for pain relief and muscle stiffness. I am also swollen...like 6-8lb of inflammation. I can feel like in my sternum, back and abdomen. Bleh. Post Op Day 2: A harder day to start, I slept through my timing of pain medication at night and was trying to play catch up all day. The pain is hard to describe, as it is mostly just chest tightness, but I started getting "zingers" to my left nipple with movement and OH MY GOD...those are f*cking awful! Ice packs have become a necessity. The lateral portion of my breasts are numb, so I have to be careful not to put the cold directly on my skin but the ice offers sweet relief! I also empty my drains about 2-3 times a day and the color has improved with every drainage which make me happy! Post Op Day 3: Morning boob...it's a real thing! And it's NO joke! Luckily a little ice intermixed with heat works quite well and I can gently massage the upper and outer poles of the implants. (They are already pretty squishy, I love them!) I tried to stay out of bed today, mainly because the kids were home and I wanted to be with them, so I set up on the couch and we watched holiday baking shows while I shopped on Amazon for breast icepacks meant for engorgement so I wouldn't have to steal my daugther's unicorn and flower lunch icepacks anymore! I can tell when I overdue movement or wait to long between pain medications, so I will try to be better about it tomorrow. Post Op Day 4: Better...it's just better. The nipple zingers are still fully in effect...100% do not enjoy those. Pain is still minimal, but I took an Oxycodone to stay on top of the pain...forgetting that I no longer had the relief of the scopolamine patch and the nausea/room-spinning immediately hit me...YUCK! Luckily Dr. Liu also sent me a prescription for Zofran so I took that and it seems to have helped. I will actually try to just take Tylenol from now on because the narcotics do not agree with my stomach at all. The drainage color continues to improve and lighten, so I remain hopfeul the drains can be removed tomorrow. A new experience is the intense itching at the incsional sites and drain sites under the tegaderm. If this is the most discomfort I have to experience other than my suprise nipple lightning bolts...I'll take it! No showering until after tomorrow's post-op visit but nothing a quick sponge bath hasn't taken care of! Updated on 27 Nov 2023: Day 5-Day 10 Do you know what makes all the difference in the world….DRAIN REMOVAL! I should have known, but omg…the pressure drains create when working properly…OOPH! I had my “week” follow up on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving with the office staff at SVIA. They were all incredibly sweet and accomodating, even during the holiday season! My little one waited in their gorgeous lobby and ate chocolates with the girls while one of Dr. Liu’s staff did my check up and drain removal. It was literally the oddest feeling having the drains pulled. The process was fast, no pain, just lots of pressure and a good nerve zing. And then all sudden I could breathe! The days prior, there was so much pressure and I assumed alot of that uncomfortability was due to normal surgery aches and the fact I had large implants inserted, but all of that extra pressure was immediately gone! A literal breath of fresh air! I stopped taking narcotic relief Day 5 and only continued on Tylenol, Valium, Arnica & Bromelian. Oh and the antibiotics. The Tylenol/Valium was only as needed so I would take before bed and first thing when I got up, as my chest definitely felt tighter first thing in the morning. Also of note, with the surgical technique that Dr. Liu performs (under-fascial), it was actually not recommended to use a “breast-band” over my chest as the implants are already close to where they would sit normally in their pocket. I was also instructed on how to lightly massage in order to encourage the “drop & fluff” that all patients look for…although I did not find that this was needed as they are already settling incredibly well on their own. The bruising has remained minimal and my scars are still under surgical glue but I got to take a real shower that evening and it couldn’t have been more welcomed! Of note, my nipples are more sensitive than usual (I guess I am lucky I haven’t lost feeling!) I am almost tempted to try silicone nipple flowers, as they get sore under clothing. A great find that I purchased was “engorgement” icepacks that nursing mothers use during breastfeeding…LIFE-ALTERING, and easily found on Amazon! I will continue to recommend these to friends under-going similar procedures. They are so helpful with the soreness and swelling…can be heated or put in the freezer, depending on needs. I have found that wearing a breast band BELOW my breast sometimes relieves the “heaviness” of the implants but I have found myself wearing it less and less. Just a light bralette. I still fit all of my tops which was a welcomed suprise! But I did get to Black Friday shop for some new bralettes to wear for work! Purchased mostly through Cosabella & Spanx (I will update with photos/fit once they arrive.) I actually plan on fully returning to work at 2 weeks post-op! This feels unheard of! I wish I could take credit for this recovery journey due to the gift of genetics…but alas…this entire experience has been in thanks to the artistry of Dr. Liu! Updated on 27 Nov 2023: For whatever reason, the photos uploaded poorly the first time and the way this site works, you cannot just update the photos in the review, so no I have had to add them again, a little frustrating but I want to make sure I keep this review as up to date as possible, given how happy I am with the results!
It's been almost one year since I had an otoplasty and submental liposuction with Dr Liu in Sacramento. I'm so incredibly happy with my results! I was very insecure about my ears to the point that even talking about them made me uncomfortable. I was immediately so comfortable the moment I was able to consult with Dr. Liu. His work didn't at all change my appearance, but enhanced what I already had, and I've never felt more confident in my own skin! Dr Liu and his staff are detailed oriented, friendly and efficient. Anybody would be in great hands with them!
I have been considering breast augmentation for about ten years and I finally decided to take the plunge. I had three consultations but immediately knew Dr. Liu was the surgeon for me; he is so warm and caring but also honest, straight-forward, and professional. The day of surgery I was so confident in Dr. Liu’s abilities that I wasn’t really nervous, just thirsty as I couldn’t drink water that day. The nurse who prepped me for surgery could not stop raving about Dr. Liu and said I could not be in better hands. She also said that all the girls in the office would only go to Dr. Liu because he was so meticulous and fantastic. I woke up after surgery feeling groggy but in no pain. I stood up pretty soon after waking up and could feel some pressure and weight in my chest, but I was pretty out of it. When I got home I went straight to sleep and slept for the better part of 24 hours, only waking up to take medicine and drink water. I only took half an OxyContin the afternoon of surgery and then switched to Tylenol; I didn’t feel the need for the muscle relaxers either. When I woke up the next morning I could barely see, my vision was so blurry! It turns out I must have touched the anti-nausea patch the nurse put behind my ear before surgery and rubbed my eyes while sleeping—be careful NOT to do that because I freaked out! By day 2 my vision was back to normal and there wasn’t much pain, but I kept having the fear that the implants were going to just fall out from the incisions under my breasts—obviously I that didn’t happen but the weight was so foreign. I went back to work after about a week, but I could have probably done my desk job after 3 or so days as I wasn’t in pain and wasn’t taking medication. Over the first three weeks the muscles loosened up and the pressure subsided. Initially I had random, sharp nerve pains that lasted less than 3 seconds daily, but now they happen maybe once every 3 days. I am now exactly one month post-op and my boobs are looking fantastic! They’re still healing and aren't as low/soft as they will be in the end, but I love them. I’m so glad I had my surgery in the winter; when summer comes around they’ll be healed enough to swim, be active outside, wear new clothes, etc. plus the compression bras are pretty warm and I would NOT want to wear it in 100+ degree weather. I can’t wait to see how they continue to heal, but I already know I made the right choice. I feel so confident in my body. Updated on 18 Feb 2023: Now 7 weeks post-op. Left is dropping a bit faster than right, but both are settling nicely. I am still waiting for them to round out at the bottom, but my doctor reassured me that they are still in fairly early healing. I have returned to exercising and notice that I can move my implants when I do pectoral exercises, which I find pretty entertaining.
This man is a true artist! I went to 3 consults prior to coming here, to include multiple locations in Folsom and Eldorado hills and this man was the one! I immediately knew it! Plus I carefully did my research on his work. I had a breast lift with augmentation (590 cc left and 610 cc right) as breast were uneven. This pic was my first day home. I had an anchor lift, my breasts were very saggy and nearly touch my belly button. I also had a mini arm lift ! 2 weeks out and those stitches (all hidden under my arm are almost healed!) pics to come. My lipo marks are not noticeable and my scar from my anchor lift is nearly undetectable- mind you I’m barely 2 weeks out! Dr. Liu is amazing! I’m so glad I came to him. No drains, never experienced any bleeding or fluids or any of those things that people shared that have gone through these things. This pic is the most so ever has any blood, never once again (so far). Stitches are out and I’m healing. Please feel free to reach out to me!
So it's been a while everyone but I'm writing a new review. I've select my MD for my BBL. Looking for some fine tuning. Safety is a major issue for me in light of all the risk of this particular procedure. Now is not the time to cut cost. I've done a lot of research and have decided that I can only work with a board certified PS who has advanced experience. I've decided to go with Dr. Thomas S. Liu. My consultation went externally well. He is very thorough. I believe I will not only get a great result but he is well trained and implemented additional safety measures. Updated on 11 Jan 2023: I went to a pre op appointment yesterday. I’m still feeling really good about my MD. He took photos and went over all the risks of the procedure. The fear of death is a real thing and I know this surgery is extremely serious and it does not come without risk. Dr. Liu assured me that he takes all measures to ensure my safety. The surgery center is top notch, the anesthesiologist is an MD. He does NOT injection into the muscle and uses a blunt cánula that oscillates AND uses ultrasound technology. He is by no means cheap, in fact he is the most expensive estimate I received. He is board certified and takes his time explaining and answering my questions. He is the only one doing my surgery, no one takes over for him. He has had zero fatalities. He categorizes me as healthy and this is more of a sculpting procedure and I don’t have a ton of fat to work with. One of my concerns is that at my first visit I mentioned the little underarm bulge I had. He said no problem we could take care of that. Then on the treatment plan it wasn’t listed. I asked about it and they told me it was a separate procedure but after the care person talked to Dr. He agreed to do it as part of my surgery. Fast forward to yesterday, he looked at my underarm and said it’s possible he won’t be able to remove the bulge because it might be more breast tissue. He will still do the auxiliary area but it might not address my concern. So now I’m conflicted. I don’t want it to be worse. I need to send him a message. The last thing I want is to create another problem. Already the extra fat he will remove from my flanks, might cause some skin to drop that he can correct with a dog ear removal. I’ll let you know how he responds. I feel like he is upfront with expectations but I don’t want to get so many corrections. As for the booty, he will add a little projection and balance out my gums and sculpt the lower back. I will take some before pics as it gets closer. Updated on 22 Jan 2023: Everyone, I am excited and nervous. Dr. Liu’s staff have made sure I got all my answers. Everyone is super friendly and reassuring. I just started taking Heal Fast pre-op vitamins. Dr. Liu approved but I got the idea from another Dr. On YouTube. Today I’m going to try and fill my bbl bean bag. Which btw, it’s super difficult. I also have a zero gravity chair but it’s so cool I hate to destroy it by cutting out the bottom. I bought extra pillows, and lots of odds and ends.I ordered 1 faja but I really think I need a second one. My husband is ready to take care of me. I’ve booked 4 massages that will start on day 4 post-op. I want to get at least ten. I’m also trying to drink a ton of water and continuing to use my treadmill to walk. I’m about 135lbs. (I’m 5 feet tall) 44 years old. This will be a skinny bbl, my MD thinks he can place about 250cc in butt and hips. I’m going to take some pics so you can see before status. Updated on 25 Jan 2023: It’s Wednesday and my surgery is Friday. I have to be there at 6 am. The nurse called me and went over my health history again. Told me they will take a Urine test and COVID test. Oh geez it’s getting real. Talked to one of besties who reassured me. I prayed. I also took some pre- op pics. Keep in mind I got a TT about 5 years ago. I’m 5 ft tall with a small build. I’m looking for enhanced shape of my silhouette and booty. This would be considered a skinny BBL because I don’t have a ton of fat to work with. I am getting Lipo on my lower back flanks, flanks, stomach, back, auxiliary and light Lipo on my inner thighs. (I like my thick thighs) They will purify the fat and what’s left will get transferred to my booty and hip dips. I am 136lbs as of today. Im in my 40’s, 3 children. I’m not looking for dramatic results because I simply don’t have enough fat. The TT was the be thing I ever did. It gave me immediate confidence. Now if today I was making my decisions about starting to get plastic surgery, and now that bbl procedure is safer, I would ge the bbl first and then TT. I’m much better financially but when I got my TT it was a huge expense. I just pray all goes well and my recovery is swift. I am logging this to help others know what to expect. Updated on 28 Jan 2023: The day of surgery, a had to be there at 6 am. My husband drove me. I filled out paper and gave my final payment to the surgery center. My husband left and the nurse called me back. They weighted me and took my vitals. I had to give them a urine sample. They are making sure you are not pregnant, which I’m certain I am not. I changed into a gown. Thy had me take a Gabapentin pill and 1000mg Tylenol. I laid on a hospital bed and the nurse got me a warm blanket and got my IV going. Then Dr. Shilling (idk how to spell his name) he is the anesthesiologist came in. We chatted for a minute or two. After that Dr. Luí came in and we chatted and he marked me up. I laid back onto the bed. They put circulating boots on me. Then they took me into the operating room. I had to switch beds- easy. They were playing some great music. Then I was out. I woke up in recovery. A different nurse was checking on me. She gave me shot bread cookies and 7up. I was not nauseous . I was uncomfortable. I wanted to go home. They called my husband. No pain just uncomfortable and I wanted to get up. I got into the bak set of my car. Home was 28 mins away. The most bumpy ride. Got home. Took an oxy, and antibiotic and 5 vitamins. HealFast post op care vitamins. I walked around for about ten mins. I laid in my bed on my stomach and about 45 min later, my husband warmed up chicken noodle soup. No pain just really sore, like I had a hard workout. I just slept, ate and peed. I used a travel John to pee, best thing ever. Dr. Liu called me that evening. He did placed about 700cc on each side. He was able to get out 2 liters of fat! So after cleansing, he was able to apply about 1.5 lites back in. He was very kind and reassuring. Post op check will be on Monday, so I will get pics then. My husband said he can’t notice much of a change but I reminded him I didn’t have a lot of fat. And I have foams all over me. So far sleeping on my tummy isn’t that bad. So far this recovery has been smooth. Updated on 30 Jan 2023: Things are progressing well. I actually haven’t leaked at all. Taking oxy about every 8 hrs and Tylenol in between. I took Tylenol pm last night. I’m walking around a lot. No pain. Still drink tons of water and Arnica tea. My post op with Dr. Lui is tomorrow. Funny thing happened the night before. I had to take an oxy at 5 am. I woke up and took it then went back to sleep. Then I looked at my clock again and it said 7:30 am. I jumped out of bed in a panic, and yelled to my husband, “we missed my surgery appointment, oh no, why didn’t they call me. ‘ There was sheer panic and confusion in my eyes. My husband turned to me and yell “You already had your surgery!!” Immediately my body was in instant pain. Oh my God. My husband could not understand how I jumped out of bed, serious adrenaline. The most difficult thing is laying down and getting up. That was nuts, all we could was laugh. Oxy can make you crazy. Today I started my period. PO Day 3, Went to see Dr. Liu for my post op. Everything went well. He said Im healing great and I can start massages if I feel I can tolerate them (i have a 30 min one for tomorrow) I had a bowl movement twice today, so that was great. I saw myself for the first time in the mirror. Wowza, am I big. I think I will look forward to the swelling to go down. I’m surprised he was able to graft so much. He said 700cc each side, butt and hips. It definitely looks big and round. I took some photos but I am very swollen and bruised. I just got out of the shower. I’ll post again in a couple weeks., next time I’ll take measurements. Or I’ll add it in if I remember. So far I a please with Dr. Liu. He is so kind and really wants to give you what you want while being realistic. He doesn’t do thinks like the Mami surgeons. No day of massages or leaking all over. Honestly the who thing has been very tolerable and he makes you feel very safe. Updated on 11 Feb 2023: Things are going really well. I really love my shape but I’m not going to lie, I’m worried that I will lose my butt. I love my results even though it is only slight projection. Dr. wants me to stay in my stage 1 garment for 6 weeks. My massage therapist thinks I need a stage 2. Everything I’m reading recommends switching out of Stage 1 in 10 days to 3 weeks. It’s the most confusing thing. I went ahead and bought a stage 2, but I don’t plan on wearing it yet. I might wear at 3 weeks. It looks really good and feels way more comfortable than my stage 1. The biggest problem I’m having is lack of compression. I bought wraps for my thighs because they were getting a little bumpy and my thighs are the most painful part of this whole process. Compressing my thighs is something I must do. I’ve had about 4 massages so far. They are absolutely necessary. I’ve pre-booked about 6 more. My new Stage 2 faja has better thigh compression. I’m happy but like I said I’m super worried my butt is going to reduce. I honestly can’t imagine getting smaller than I already am but everyone says my waist will get smaller and it will make my butt look bigger. Then there is the whole fluff fairy, idk if that is even real. Still sleeping on my tummy, which sucks, but I’m getting used to it. I drove today using the bbl pillow and couch pillow behind my back. It felt ok, and didn’t touch my butt at all. I still don’t sit at all at home. At work (remote) I stand pretty much all day, walk, and lean over my bed for a break. No regrets this far. Updated on 8 Mar 2024: It’s been a year since my bbl. I couldn’t be happier. My clothes fit well and since I didn’t have a completely flat butt when I started I pretty much wear most of my old clothes. The only difference is they fit better. Mostly a smaller waist.I still have some scars but that is because my skin holds on to scars for many years. Dr. Lui and his staff were wonderful!!! Honestly, even though I love my results, I’m not sure I would do it again. It didn’t solve all my problems and I would not be running half naked on a beach. As long as you have realistic expectations then Dr. Lui will deliver. He also did FaceTite for me and I had really good results. I tried Kybella first at a different place and it was a waste of money. Go for FaceTite with Lipo. It’s much better.
Thank you for your posting! These two procedures are best done separately as one procedure requires a patient to be laying face up, and the other requires a patient to be laying face down. Also, in terms of recovery, a patient who has had a BBL will need to avoid sitting or laying on their bottom for at least two weeks to help prevent fat reabsorption. This isn't possible if these procedures are done at the same time. Consult a board-certified plastic surgeon regarding your individual surgical plan to ensure your safety and satisfaction with your results. Good luck!
Thank you for your question! Because there are so many variations of implants available today, it can be hard to choose which would be best for you. On the other hand, you have many options, allowing you to have a truly customized augmentation procedure. Communicating your individual aesthetic goals to your board-certified plastic surgeon will help him or her narrow down the type of implant that would give you your desired result. When selecting volume, exploring before and after photos can be helpful, but remember that every patient is different. The amount of breast tissue a patient has before augmentation is a major contributing factor. Using a sizing system where you are able to "try on" the sizes within your preferred range will give you the best idea on which you like the most. Good luck in your upcoming procedure!
Thank you for your question! After breast augmentation surgery, patients can sometimes feel a little overwhelmed with the changes in their body. Patients are always eager to see their final results, which is understandable! However, it is important to remember that it does take time to see your final results. Initially, there is definitely some swelling, and the implants can look too high. Your board-certified plastic surgeon will follow-up with you during your early recovery to ensure you are healing properly and satisfied with your results. Congratulations on your procedure and good luck in your recovery!
Thank you for your posting! Many of the moms in our office ask this same question. It is definitely important to know this information ahead of time so you can plan accordingly. After an augmentation-mastopexy procedure, it is best to avoid lifting anything over 5 lbs for at least six weeks. However, you should consult your board-certified plastic surgeon regarding his or her postoperative protocol and it can be unique to each surgeon. Good luck in your upcoming procedure!
Thank you for your posting! A rhinoplasty procedure can definitely address all of your above-mentioned concerns. The photos you submitted can be very helpful to show a board-certified plastic surgeon at a consultation appointment to discuss your individual aesthetic goals. Good luck in your research!
