48 hours and hyaluronidase has not dissolved Restylane. Next steps?

hyaluronidase may need more than one treatment to work and even then sometimes you need RF treatments like venus legacy, exilis ultra, thermage to help improve the filler swelling resolution.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hello Rosie. I'm sorry you're going thought this issue. I feel it's too early to see the changes from the HA enzyme injection. Your describing significant bruising and, most likely, you're quite swollen. Follow up with your injector next week to address your progress and ice on/off throughout the weekend. There may be a few reasons for this. You may still have swelling which makes it look like the hyaluronidase is not working, it may have been injected in the wrong plane, or not enough may have been used. Sometimes you may need more than one treatment session to fully dissolve the filler. Don't lose hope just yet. Continue follow up with your PS or seek a second opinion. Best of luck.

Thank you for your question. There could be a couple of reasons why you do not see the hyaluronidase not working. You may still have swelling from the injection, you could have been injected in the wrong area or not enough hyaluronidase was injected. Also, it can take more than 1 treatment to fully dissolve your filler. I recommend continuing with your follow up appointments with your PS.

The Vitrase should have had full effect but if you are bruised you might be swollen so be patient and give it a few days for swelling to go down before you run around and have more people do more things to you that you might not need done
