Is it normal to feel hot burning sensation 3 months after liposuction?

I’m 3 month post op tummy tuck and lipo. I still wear my faja day and night I’m jut not comfortable without it yet. While I sleep on my back in the middle of the night my lower back feels hot and bums. I have to loosen my faja and take off the blankets and sleep on my side to help with pain. The cold air helps . I do not feel this during the day while I’m standing, siting or walking it’s only while I sleep. During the day it’s very minimal and tiny shocks here and there.

Thank you for your question.  Typically swelling, sensation issues and skin retraction can take about 6-8 months to settle down completely. I would recommend gentle massage to the area and start coming out of your compression.  If you are concerned about this you can follow up with your surgeon to address your concerns.  Best of luck to you.

Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Congratulations on your surgery. Its normal to feel some burning sensation after liposuction and there can still be some swelling until 3-6 months after surgery. You can ask your surgeon for post op gels or cream that can help the healing and also burning, there is some  LIPO GEL that can be applied that will help, I suggest consulting it with your plastic surgeon. It appears that you are wearing your faja too thight at night. Try loosing it up a bit, but if the feeling persists, please follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

Thank you for this question. You are still in your healing stages, this may take up to 6 months with mild to moderate swelling.Irritation or disruption of the nerves is certain to occur to some extent. I advise that you follow up with you surgeon to discuss your condition.
