I failed a visual field test and am having a blepharoplasty. While I'm having this procedure, I thought about taking care of my turkey wattle. Will ultherapy make a difference or should I have something more invasive? I'm 51 and, if I were not having the bleph, probably would not have worried about addressing my saggy neck for a while.
Answer: Ultherapy or Neck Lift Ultherapy is a great procedure for skin tightening, however if time and money are not an issue for you, lower face and neck lift will give you the best results as the muscle will be tightened as well. Be sure to consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to explain your options. Good luck.

Answer: Ultherapy will help but its not as good as a traditional neck lift Non-Invasive procedures such as ultherapy and lutronic's infini do help to tighten the skin of the face and neck, however they are no means as effective as a neck lift. One reason for this is that you can also tighten the muscles in the neck that causes the bands to form during a surgical procedure. If you are going to surgery anyways you may want to go with the neck lift.

Answer: Ulthera vs. Necklift Thank you for your question and sharing your images. Ulthera is a noninvasive alternative to give you some improvement in the neck contour. However, it will not be the same result as a facelift or necklift could provide. If you are already considering a surgical procedure with related recovery, you may want to consider this as an option. Consultation with your surgeon will help you make the decision."This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion. Seek in-person treatment with a trained medical professional for appropriate care."

Answer: Double Chin Treatment / Laxity-- SmartLipo/VASER/ThermiRF, Botox, Venus Legacy, Kybella Double Chin Treatment / Laxity-- SmartLipo/VASER/ThermiRF, Botox, Venus Legacy, KybellaI treat this everyday in my practice. You may be a surgical candidate but you do not need surgery for improvement. Properly performed liposuction with energy based devices and physical fat removal will do fantastic to remove the fat, lift the skin, and contour the jawline. I pretreat everyone with Botox 1-2 weeks before surgery to relax the neck muscles, allowing for better retraction of the skin after surgery. Then after treatment we do skin tightening with Venus Legacy to improve the results and decrease the neck swelling. I suggest you only see an expert for treatment of this area as a meticulous surgeon is required to get great results and complications in this area can be devastating both medically and cosmetically. A new medication that is used to remove chin fat with injections called Kybella may also be an option, as it secondarily allows for skin tightening/lifting as well. A formal consultation is needed to determine what are the best options for you. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Ultherapy for Neck Ultherapy can provide a minimally invasive alternative to a surgical neck lift. It is less costly than surgery but cannot achieve the same results. A second treatment may be recommended in your case to achieve the best results. A consultation at your doctor’s office should help you make the right decision.
