I have bumps behind both ears in the crease after neck lift one month ago. It looks like it was skin that swelled around stitches and turned into skin balls...Will these shrink and go away or will I need a revision to have them removed?

I see and hear your concern.  Some skin irregularity is relatively common in that location after a neck lift.  At only 1 month postop, this should continue to improve with time.  If it persists, occasionally a simple scar revision is needed at 1 year postop.  Hope this helps!

At 1 month post op it is not unusual to have bumps and lumps, they should smooth out over time, if they don't a simple revision can be done. discuss your concerns with your surgeon. Good luck.

Thank you for asking. The full areas may be sutures or swelling. 1 month is an early timeframe. These usually improve with time as the incision matures. Revision could be considered 1 year after the procedure when the collagen remodeling is stable. Best wishes!

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  These gathered areas of skin are likely due to the suturing technique used during your incision closure and should smooth with time.  Hang in there and allow a few months to pass. You should see gradual improvement.
