Ripples under my chin and jawline after facelift -How can I improve the situation? (photo)

Hello there It is hard to be definitive in advice just from those photos but it may be that a combination of liposuction to the side and fat grafting to the border of the jawline can improve your contour .See your surgeon again and discuss what more can be done .CheersTS

The pictures submitted show a number of things that contribute to the apparent "aging" of your neck. The starting point is not a neck lift, although that may be in your future.Your skin may have  red vascular changes termed poikiloderma - they may be improved with IPL or pulsed dye laser.You skin also seems to have limited elasticity - one of the new minimally invasive tightening technologies may have a role in improvement, i.e. RF microneedling, RF sub-Q devices,  etc.The images seem to suggest a significant microgenia - correction of that with chin augmentation will rejuvenate your profile and allow your mandible to better support your neck skin.And  finally... at some point it is my opinion you would benefit for a new facelift / neck lift.Be well and best regards,Don't worry... you can accomplish a very nice further rejuvenation through the ideas I have outlined hereFred G. The limited photographs demonstrate a recessive chin profile and residual fatty deposit in the neck along with inelasticity of that skin in the neck itself.  Consider placement of a chin implant to augment the chin forward to give better structural foundation for the soft tissues in the neck.  This will also help with better facial proportions.  A revision lower face and neck lift will be required to remove any additional fatty deposits above AND below the platysma muscle, and a platysma plasty which will help with the tighten the muscle bands in the neck.  The inelastic skin must be tightened as well.  For many before and after examples of lower face /neck lifts from our practice, please see the video below

You have had fat removed from the midline of the neck. You still have digastric muscles and submandibular glands present which is what you are seeing. If you really wanted to make this better you would have the muscles nd gland removed. This is a bigger deal that a regular necklift.,.
