Thank you for your question. I don't believe there is any restriction after Botox treatment for physical activity.
Thankyou for your question. We advise that you can return to normal activity after 4 hours as the botox has been absorbed. This includes exercise.Enjoy!
Hello, and thank you for your question. Botox is a safe and effective treatment for eliminating wrinkles and fine lines that has virtually no side effects. Most patients return to their regular schedules a day after following Botox appointments. I instruct my patients to work out prior to their injection so that there is no downtime. You should be able to exercise and resume strenuous activities the day after your Botoxtreatment. Be sure to discuss this with your board-certified plastic surgeon during your Botoxappointment. Best of luck!
Thanks for your question! I usually have my patients take it easy the day of their treatment, but they can resume normal activity the day afterwards. Ask your physician injector what they recommend in your instance. Best of luck to you.
We put no limits on what activities a patient can do. In fact, I believe using the muscles injected with Xeomin, Botox, or Dysport right after injections for a few hours can enhance the uptake and results. Avoid doing cold compresses, which can lessen the longevity and result within an hour before or after the injections. Also topical anesthetics can lessen the wrinkle blocker effects. I think you can go to the gym and do whatever work out you would like unless swelling or a large bruise developed at the area of injection. Best regards.
I tell my patient after they've received a Botox treatment that if no bruising or any unusual swelling is seen within an hour after the treatment, they can resume their normal daily activities. Good luck from New York City
Thank you for your question amreis. I understand your concern. Botox is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial expression. When injected into the skin Botox will relax the muscles and smoothen out the overlying wrinkles. The most common areas of treatment are in the upper face. These include the horizontal lines seen on the upper forehead when one raises the brows, the vertical lines seen between the brows when one frowns (frown lines), and the crow's feet seen around the eyes when one smiles. It is difficult to make an assessment without a formal exam where the entire medical history is reviewed. However, I hope the information provided here is useful. After a Botox treatment, I recommend that my patients avoid heat exposure, alcohol consumption, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours and not lie down flat for four hours. This is because all of these activities may possibly lead to the movement of the product and consequent side effects such as droopy eyelids as described above. Although there have been no definitive studies shown that these actually occur and some physicians do not provide such aftercare instructions, in the absence of data I err on the side of caution and recommend that my patients avoid such activities. If I had a patient interested in using a vibration plate, I would say that after 24 hours devices such as vibration plates are safe to use. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
After Botox it is a good rule of thumb to wait 4+ hours before sweating and exercise.Choose an expert.Best. Dr Brecht Seattle, Wa
Botox is not a good alternative for tightening the skin under the chin though it can be used to decrease the bands of the neck known as platysmal bands. If you have fullness under the chin Kybella is a great option as it will decrease the fullness as well as tighten the skin in the area. If you...
Botox and Dysport will diminish crow's feet significantly and will not cause droopy eyelids or brow if done correctly. If this does occur, it is because the injector is not familiar with the anatomy around the eyes. Injecting close to and above the brow can drop the brows and thus the eyelids. I...
