I always tell my patients to allow a full 2 weeks for fillers to settle down, especially if its your first time getting them, as you are not used to how its supposed to look. 80% of the time, fillers look great and settle in nicely immediately, 20% of the time, there is swelling and bruising that can occur and this can cause some lumps that will resolve. I assume you have a follow up with your injector so keep the follow up and follow the instructions given to you.
Hi @ochiexx! Lumps and swelling can occur after dermal fillers. can be typical. I would recommend massaging the area and applying ice. I would wait a full 2 weeks before dissolving the lump with Hylenex. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Thank you for your question. Hard to say much without exam or photos. You are only hours post procedure. if the lump is hard, enlarging, and painful please get ahold of your injector right away. Typically small contour irregularities may be present for a few days post op. Ice will also sometimes help. Please make your injector aware of your concerns. Jeffrey J. Sometimes people can get lumps, or bumps after fillers. They typically subside in size over time. It is recommended to apply ice after fillers to help with the swelling. Following post care instructions given to you by your doctor is very important. I would recommend contacting your injector for further questions and instructions. Wish you the best, Dr. Longwill.
Swelling and/or lumps can be typical. Icing and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.I hope this helps!
Thank you for sharing your question. Initially you may have tissue swelling and/or bruising that can create an apparent lump after cheek filler treatment. Unfortunately without an in-person examination, or knowledge of your injections, it is difficult to weigh in if your lump should be of concern. I would address your concerns with your injector who has the greatest amount of knowledge of your treatment.
Patients with questions and concerns about their voluma filler healing process should address those concerns with the injector doctor or nurse that performed the procedure, ideally during a follow up consultation. Patients should not massage the area where the filler was injected unless instructed by their injector.
Dear ochiexx,Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to have some lumps or bumps soon after a filler injection due to reasons such as swelling as well as the filler product itself. You may try icing off and on for the next few days as well gentle massage to the area while waiting for the next two weeks to allow the filler product to take effect and settle out. We recommend close follow-up with your provider at two weeks after treatment or sooner should you continue to have any lump or bump concerns.
It is difficult to tell if the lump is from swelling or from a nodule. I would wait a fe days and ice and massage the area to see there effects. The lump may be product or simply swelling to the area. Please consult an expert in cheek injections for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
Hi, I’m Lauren, the aesthetic injector at Colorado Plastic Surgery Center. Voluma is not typically used for the hands and is also not FDA-approved for that area.
Hi and thanks for your question. The Non Surgical Nose Job procedure generally requires less than one syringe of Voluma. Lifting the bridge and tip requires a filler with the thickness of Voluma, so this is the best choice for the nose. Using a softer or lighter filler runs the risk that you w...
Voluma is an excellent filler to enhance your chin structure and lift your cheeks. I recommend starting with 3 syringes for both cheeks and chin. To further sharpen your chin profile, you might also consider treatment with Kybella. Good luck!
