I have used Voluma for hand rejuvenation with great success. It works perfectly well in the appropriate individuals. Other options include Radiesse, Restylane Lyft, Juvederm Ultra Plus, etc. We often combine fillers with lasers or microneedling to also improve skin texture and pigmentation of the hands. More important that the choice of filler is the skill and experience of the injector. Make sure you see an experienced physician provider for an in-person consultation and evaluation to determine which treatments would be best for you. Best wishes.
Hi, I’m Lauren, the aesthetic injector at Colorado Plastic Surgery Center. Voluma is not typically used for the hands and is also not FDA-approved for that area.
Dermatologists select a filler based on the patient’s needs and that particular filler’s qualities. I’ve used Voluma in the hands with beautiful results. It can last up to 18 months. However, it’s a thicker filler and may not always be appropriate for the hands. One of the nicest fillers to use for the hands — and the only one that has FDA approval for this indication — is Radiesse. It’s a thinner filler and therefore works best with the slight volume loss and thin skin that’s characteristic of aging hands. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who has experience with many different dermal fillers and can layer them, if necessary, to give you the most beautiful and rejuvenating outcome.
Hands can be improved with fillers very easily, and I love combining this with fraxel laser to tighten and improve texture. Belotero and Radiesse give natural looking results. I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist with expertise in hand rejuvenation to go over the recommended timeline. Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for your question. Voluma is a HA dermal filler used to correct volume loss in the cheek area. I recommend using Radiesse for your hands. It is the only FDA approved filler approved for hands. Please get a formal evaluation from a board-certified specialist.
In order to rejuvenate the hand, I prefer a combination treatment. IPL is great for improving the coloration and removing spots from aging forearms and hands. To improve the skin a combination of fractionated laser (such as PIXEL PRO) as well as hand filler (Radiesse) can reverse the effects of aging. The laser treatment will tighten the skin and improve the overall quality. Radiesse is the only filler specifically approved for the hands and used to restore volume and hide your tendons and bones which can cause a gaunt "skeleton" appearance. As a certified hand injector, I prefer Radiesse over VOLUMA for the hands. I do love Voluma for other areas however such as the face. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Voluma is not indicated for hand rejuvenation because it it a very thick filler and can lead to visible lumps. Radiesse is FDA approved for hand rejuvenation and in my experience the results are very natural and pleasing. Juvederm can be used as well. I recommend you get the procedure done by a physician with expertise in hand rejuvenation.
Hi and thanks for your question. The Non Surgical Nose Job procedure generally requires less than one syringe of Voluma. Lifting the bridge and tip requires a filler with the thickness of Voluma, so this is the best choice for the nose. Using a softer or lighter filler runs the risk that you w...
Voluma is an excellent filler to enhance your chin structure and lift your cheeks. I recommend starting with 3 syringes for both cheeks and chin. To further sharpen your chin profile, you might also consider treatment with Kybella. Good luck!
You have beautiful high cheekbones but need some volume replaced in the depression that extends from the inner corner of the eye downwards. I guess this would be “the Apple” portion but I avoid that round shape as it is less natural in appearance. I try to achieve a sweep up connecting to your h...
