I hate wearing this garment. It itches and burns my skin. It feels like it's causing lumps in the places it creases. Will I lose the effects of the liposuction if I don't wear it? Can I use a waist trainer by itself? Once the swelling goes all the way down wont my stomach be flat anyway? My skin is so dark from brushes it started to peel. Every time I put it on it makes my skin sore.

Answer: Garment after BBL I prefer patients to wear a garment for 3-6 weeks. Some surgeons do not even bother with garments. Best to ask your doc.

Answer: Post-Surgical Compression I'm sorry to hear that you are having a rough go of things! Unfortunately, it is very, very important that after liposuction you remain in a compression garment. This helps to ensure that the overlying skin retracts appropriately and smoothly. It also can help with swelling and general edema. Most people feel better in their garment, almost more secure - if your current garment isn't working, or if your skin is that sensitive, talk to your physician about other options. Your skin may be somewhat irritated by the garment, or it may just be because of the healing process; there are typically alternatives that your doctor may be able to recommend. Hang in there - it'll be worth it! Best of luck.
