Thanks for the question, yes you can have both done at the same time. That being said its important to a) go to someone who does this a lot and b) know what you are getting yourself in too. Lower extremity lipo especially lipo below the knee is a big shock to the system and there can be several weeks of bruising and soreness. This is all normal and can be managed appropriately by an office dedicated to lipo!
Most often calves and ankles are done separately from thighs and knees due to the volume and amount of work needed to do a quality job. You need to do the lipo on these areas under tumescent local since your doc has to stand you up occasionally to see the progress and fine tune the results to be able to go all around the areas.
Brownsuga35. I commonly perform liposuction on more than one area in those patients requesting it. Liposuction of the thighs and calves is certainly an option, however you must understand that calf liposuction sometimes takes longer for swelling to resolve because of the location. Come in to see me for an appointment at any time or see another board-certified plastic surgeon in the area to discuss your best options. Good luck.
Hello,Thank you for your question.Yes!! you can have several zones treated on your legs.Best regards,
I commonly perform liposuction on multiple areas of the body. There are limitations based upon the patients overall health, the amount of fluid and local to be used, and the amount of fat that can be removed in one procedure. Best to be seen in person.
Yes they are frequently performed together along with the inner knees and can produce a dramatic result to reshape your whole leg. Some patients don’t realize there is a fat pocket that connects from their inner knee area and wraps around the front of the lower leg and removing this can completely change the look of the leg. Even in skinny patients sometimes fat removal here can be dramatic.
Yes, calves and thighs can be done together in certain patients. However, not all surgeons will do liposuction on calves since the recovery and swelling take up to one year to heal. Risks are higher and results may not be as good for liposuction of the calves. Surgeons who do liposuction of the calves usually limit surgery to those under 40 years old.
Thank you for your question. It is very common for patients to have multiple body areas treated during liposuction procedures. To start it is important that you find a highly experienced surgeon with the proper credentials. One good way to do this is to see if the person treating you is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. There are many different liposuction techniques and your individual qualities like BMI (body mass index), amount of fat that can be removed from each area and medical history will guide your individual procedure. I hope this helps!
Thank you for asking about your liposuction and the need for a revision.Great question - with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon using a small (3 and/or 4 mm cannula), irregularities are uncommon.Revisions are more common in some areas than others -Where the skin is thick (back, sides), revision ...
Thank you for asking about your liposuction.Unless you have been gaining weight, you are still swollen from surgery - Your final result takes six months to appearIn the meantime, for your best result, you need to lose about 10 pounds. This prevents fat from returning to the body in new areas ...
Yes, this can be typical. You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, ...
