Dani.   I appreciate your concern, but it may take as long as 4 to 6 months for complete recovery, meaning resolution of all swelling and skin retraction. Try to stay patient and follow up with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.

Thank you for your question. Healing after liposuction is usually pretty straight forward.  There is a process of swelling and bruising that peaks at 3 days after surgery and then undergoes the first stage of major resolution in the first 2 weeks after surgery.  The lateer phase of healing takes place over the 2-3 months after surgery where everything really settles and softens.  It is after this time that we are getting close to the final result, though this varies patient to patient. With liposuction, fat can be removed to strategically sculpt the body and accentuate feminine curves.  The skin then retracts over the new shape to give the final result.

It is too soon to tell what your final results will be. You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. I rarely suction an abdomen, and never suction an abdomen in a woman who has been pregnant, because the skin is thin and may not "tighten up". I would not be overly concerned , as it will take a minimum of 3 months to get your results, and I suspect then everything will be better.

Thanks for your question and congratulations on getting through the first month of your recovery. I would say it takes a minimum of 6 months (probably closer to 12) to really see the improvements. Keep up the workouts and I'm sure things will get better little by little. Best wishes

Swelling after liposuction can take 3-6 months to completely resolve.  I would recommend evaluation by your surgeon and further guidance to decrease your swelling. Take care.
