I have to be honest. Laser liposuction questions always make me nervous. In the right hands, there may be a little skin or tissue tightening with this device. In the wrong hands, the laser heat can cause a great deal of scarring under the skin. I have seen many men/women with extra skin, contour issues (areas of fullness and empty spots), and tons of scarring under the skin after laser lipo. Because of the scarring, it is hard to make their skin look smooth and normal again. Please be sure you are seeing a highly qualified professional. In my opinion, a board certified plastic surgeon the most reliable choice. If you are planning to have this procedure in a med spa where you will be awake with some sedation and you haven't met the doctor performing your procedure yet... don't walk, run in in the other direction!!!Best of luck and make sure to do your background checks!
The laser component of laser liposuction functions to heat the skin to produce tightening. We now prefer radiofrequency tightening. Liposuction itself sometimes has a slight skin-tightening effect, depending on your age and quality of your skin. When you consult a board-certified dermatologist, he or she can determine from your skin quality if you’d benefit from laser lipo alone, or if combination therapy with radiofrequency energy (ThermiTight) or ultrasound (Ultherapy) would help.
Hello Melissa.Laser liposuction can tighten the skin in the pubic mound area. I suggest you see at least three experts in your to carefully analyze the areas of concern.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
Laser lipo is good for removing stubborn areas of fat, but lacks skin tightening. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. Yes it can be done and it is the same way it work for other parts of body. It will tighten to a certain degree, but it will depending on the quality of the skin etc. This area known for giving persistent swelling. Please consult with a board certified PS for evaluation.
This is a relevant question, as I frequently see this area neglected in treatment. For both men and women, volume reduction in the mons area can improve both function and aesthetics. For women, treating this area will help to avoid the appearance of increased volume in the mons area, which can be disconcerting with or without clothing. For men, reduction of a sometimes generous mons fat pad can uncover more of the shaft of the penis, giving a visual and sometimes functional lengthening effect and help to prevent "turtling".Depending on the pre-existing laxity of the skin, liposuction of any kind (laser, PAL, BodyTite, etc) will decrease the volume of the mons area and tighten the skin. Obviously the degree of tightening will not be as great as you would see with a tummy tuck or other skin reduction procedure.
Thank you for asking about your arms after liposuction.I am so very sorry this has happened. When harvesting fat from a slim person, irregularities can definitely occur and I am sorry this was not discussed with you first.Additional small cannula liposuction can probably smooth the result quite a...
Thank you for your question. Swelling and large amounts of fluid retention are expected and are a normal aspect of recovery following liposuction even at 8 weeks, since it takes about 3 months for most of the swelling to subside. Fluids in the blood vessels leak into the tissues and have this ef...
Thank you for asking about your arm liposuction. You are still swollen and won't see your final result for another 4 months. The difference in arm size is unlikely to be from inadequate fluid drainage.Asymmetry is normal after liposuction because our bodies are not symmetric. However you best next...
