How long after the BBL procedure are you able to have sex?

Thank you for your question.  Every surgeon will have his/her own preferences as to recovery for specific procedures. Patients normally return to light activities almost immediately after surgery, normal activities 2 weeks after surgery, and vigorous exercise including sex 4 weeks after surgery.  We usually experience a slow steady improvement for 3 months or so after surgery.

Thanks for your question, Mrz.Robinson!This is a common question. I generally allow my patients to have intercourse about 4 - 6 weeks after surgery, but you have to ask your surgeon to see what his or her protocol is.

I usually have my patients refrain from any activity for two weeks. At two weeks, some light cardiac exercise is usually ok and then return to all strenuous activity gradually. By six weeks, you should be able to do anything and everything you were doing before. Sex is a bit grey, so what I often say is when you feel ready and nothing too aggressive initially. If it hurts, don't do it again. Hope this helps.
