Thank you for your question. Every surgeon will have his/her own preferences as to recovery for specific procedures. Patients normally return to light activities almost immediately after surgery, normal activities 2 weeks after surgery, and vigorous exercise including sex 4 weeks after surgery. We usually experience a slow steady improvement for 3 months or so after surgery.
Thanks for your question, Mrz.Robinson! This is a common question. I generally allow my patients to have intercourse about 4 - 6 weeks after surgery, but you have to ask your surgeon to see what his or her protocol is. Please always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.Take care, Moises Salama M.D., Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
I usually have my patients refrain from any activity for two weeks. At two weeks, some light cardiac exercise is usually ok and then return to all strenuous activity gradually. By six weeks, you should be able to do anything and everything you were doing before. Sex is a bit grey, so what I often say is when you feel ready and nothing too aggressive initially. If it hurts, don't do it again. Hope this helps.
Thanks much for reaching out. I usually tell my patients to wait four to six weeks before engaging in sexual activity. I hope this helps :-)
I consider this strenuous exercise, which I do not recommend for six weeks following surgery.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Thank you for your question. Every surgeon has different guidelines of activity restriction for their patients following various procedures. I typically recommend for my patients to refrain from sexual activity following a BBL for 4-6 weeks. Each patient is different and I can assess their progression in healing at their post-op visits to determine when during the 4-6 week time frame would be appropriate for them to return to this activity. Please ask the plastic surgeon who will be performing your procedure (or already did perform your procedure) to see what they recommend.
I usually allow patients to go back to some non-strenuous activity in 2-3 weeks, and then vigorous exercise by about 4-6 weeks. Good luck.
Like any surgery you should have some resting time including sex. Doctor recommendations can vary form a couple of days to three weeks. I tell my patients to have a week off and afterwards if they feel good they can start their day to day activities but do not do anything involving swimming pools or anything that makes their incisions wet. Regarding any special devices for preventing buttock pressure when sitting or laying down I regularly do not recommend any.
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question. You have to ask directly to your plastic surgeon because every doctor has their own recommendations. I personally allows my patients to have sex 6 weeks after surgery.Good luck :)
This is a delicate issue since fat transfer is so popular. This is what you need to know: All the transferred fat does not survive (40-80% disappears). The fat that does survive doesn't know where it is and will behave forever as if it were in its original location: if you gain weight (or l...
Too early to judge on the final result. You are still at the healing stage. The area in your lower back will be still bruised and swollen and this will take 8-12 weeks to settle. Wear your garment and keep your follow up with your surgeon. You have to give your body at least 12 weeks to start...
You will find that plastic surgeons differ in their opinions regarding shaving or waxing the day before a BBL. Some surgeons believe shaving or waxing the operative area may cause skin irritations or make incisions more susceptible to an infection. To be on the safe side, ask your plastic sur...
