After surgery you will not be in the mood to do either nor is it recommended. So get groomed a few days before, but no shaving for 48 hrs before surgery to avoid an increased risk of infection. Also, you may consider laser hair removal to avoid this dilemma in the future. 

You will find that plastic surgeons differ in their opinions regarding shaving or waxing the day before a BBL.  Some surgeons believe shaving or waxing the operative area may cause skin irritations or make incisions more susceptible to an infection.  To be on the safe side, ask your plastic surgeon. Hello dear!!Thanks for the question.Waxing is better just because it takes more time the hair to grow again, but you can do either. The only thing is that i do not recommend to do it one day before. At least 48hrs before the day of the surgery.Make sure you look for a board certified plastic surgeon for a good evaluation and to talk about your goals and concerns.Good luck :)

You want to shave you hair no later than 72 hours before surgery so that any small nicks will be healed prior to surgery. More importantly, you should make sure your chosen surgeon has VASER technology as well as Puregraft fat grafting in order to optimize your results.
