When can I shower? Can I get my drain incision wet? Can I get my brachioplasty incision we?

I have my patients shower after the first postoperative visit which is the day after surgery. I have tried multiple approaches, and have found that waiting to allow the patients to shower results in more infections.

I would recommend you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon. He/she knows best when you're ready to take a shower.

I permit my patients to shower as soon as they wish after an abdominoplasty.  However, this is not my call.  Ask your own surgeon.

This is a question for your operating surgeon.  I personally do not limit showering and ask that patients shower prior to their next day visit after TT and other body contouring procedures.This is something only your operating surgeon can address for you, however.  There may be extenuating circumstances.

Sorry you got such conflicting advice. Rather than having these sorted out by a surgeon who has never seen you, better to call your surgeon's office for these questions.All the best. 

I would contact your surgeons office. Everyone has different pre and post operative instructions and reasons for them. Good luck, Dean Vistnes.
