Is it normal for you to feel nausea after drainage tube are removed?

The pain from the drain removal is probably what caused the nausea.  Some patients get light headed, even from the concept of the removal.

Thanks for your inquiry.  It is not uncommon for people to feel a little nauseous when drains are removed.  This usually passes quickly.  People can get anxious about drain removal but usually it is well tolerated with little discomfort.

Seeing drains removed from your body can be emotionally stimulating. Some patients may feel nausea or even faint. It's perfectly normal.

That is a relatively common response especially for anyone who is sqeamish.  Though there is no pain involved in the removal of the tubes, some people have a vagal response similar to fainting at the site of blood.  Take care and good luck.

It is not uncommon for patients to have a "vaso-vagal" response to drain removal.  Some feel faint or dizzy, others may feel nausea.  Usually this is a fleeting response.ALl the best. 

Thank you for your question. Although it is not common to feel nausea after having a drainage tube removed, people react differently and the feeling should pass. If it does persist I recommend you talk with your surgeon to make sure that it is nothing serious.
