Should I get a Brazilian Butt Lift or Tummy Tuck done first? (photos)

Thank you for your question. First, you should keep in mind the max Body Mass Index (BMI) limit for tummy tuck surgery is 33 and for the BBL it is 35. That said, I perform many BBL & tummy tuck combo procedures at my practice. But, if you're considering having the procedures done individually, then it makes sense to do the tummy tuck first. Then 4-5 months later, a BBL can be performed. The reason being that if you have significant excess skin and you get liposuction in that area, the area will look wrinkled, scarred, and irregular. Also doing significant liposuction on the abdomen and then having a tummy tuck later can predispose you to wound healing complications after the tummy tuck. Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You should consider doing the liposuction with BBL first and then come back for a tummy tuck after 6-12 months.

A few different options, the one that I recommend would be lipo and BBL first, with the next stage being tummy tuck. This way you have maximum amount of donor fat for the BBL. I would suggest you get consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Hi!Ideally, prior to surgery, your BMI should be close to 30 in order to decrease surgical risks. In regards to the order of the surgeries, I would suggest you have the BBL first so that any of the stubborn fat that was not lost with dieting and exercise, could be removed during liposuction and harvesting of fat. After the lipo/BBL, you will develop excess skin. However, few months later, you should be able to undergo removal of the excess skin with an abdominoplasty. Good luck!!!

generally speaking, you want to reach your goal weight before you consider a tummy tuck, otherwise your results will be suboptimal if you continue to lose weight after the surgery.Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Although they can be done together, I understand that you want these operations seperated. First have BBL with your back and waist fat tissue and maybe some from abdomen. It is better to have tummy tuck later, where the main fat resource is abdomen. Your BBL can be supported if needed for the second time.

The two procedures can be performed at the same time, perfectly. It's a routine combination for us. However, if you prefer to do it in stages, I would suggest Liposculpture with the BBL first, and 3 to 6 months later the TT.

Once you have reached your goal weight you will likely find the biggest impact from the tummy tuck. This will remove excess fat and skin from the abdomen as well as correct abdominal wall laxity. You can consider the BBL once you have healed from the first procedure.
