Absolutely amazing!! I had a breast lift and implants. The results were fabulous!! My daughter and I are going to see him soon for more work. I can’t say enough, he is an amazing plastic surgeon. The whole staff is so nice and wonderful!!!
I got neck liposuction and it was great, I'm from Houston and flew to Cancun and did my research since I was skeptical but I trusted him because well known doctor recommended him. I got full results. I look great! ADVICE: Stay in Cancun for at least the days a doctor tells you so you wont get any infection and have good hygiene. Some women just want to fly next 3 days and if you cant don't do a surgery.
Dr. Torres is an exceptional surgeon with a wonderful personality and outstanding artistic (sculpturing) abilities. I gave him the nickname Michaelangelo. Here is why: I had my surgery (facelift, neck lift, fat transfer in cheeks and lips, eyebrow lift, and eyelid), and I (at 54) look amazing? far better than I imagined! Most importantly, I looked so natural that even my mother and two (older) brothers, who always notice the tiniest little thing on my face, complimented me on my looks but were totally surprised to hear that I had surgery. Many of my friends said I looked 20 years younger, and I agree because I also feel that way. Indeed, it was a life-changing experience that changed my appearance and attitude toward life. After consultation with Dr. Torres, I knew I was in good hands. There was no rush, no sales pitch but a genuine and thorough conversation with an expert complemented with excitement about his work and the transformation he was looking forward to creating. I especially appreciated his care and dedication to patience from surgery through the entire healing process. He was there to wake me up after surgery even though it was 1 AM, and his (excellent) staff could have done it. Also, Dr. Torres contacted me regularly and personally to check up on how the healing process unfolded for the first three months. No, I am not exceptional; this is the way he does his work. And that is why I will be seeing him again next week for my rhinoplasty, and I am looking forward to another great experience. I highly recommend Dr. Torres for his surgical expertise (including clinic and staff), creativity and sense of beauty, care, (gentle and humble) personality, and fantastic prices.
Dr Edgar did my tummy tuck and I’m very happy with the results. He is very patient and has great techniques for his surgeries, I highly recommend him and his professional team for your plastic surgery.
Excellent. He's amazing with his work. Love the result I have. He was so amazing that my eyes didn't even get too much bruising either of swelling. I was looking really good directly from I was awake from surgery.
My entire experience, from start to finish, with Dr. Torres and his team, was absolutely amazing. His assistant, Robyn, was there with me at every moment I needed her. From transportation, to my recovery, they were very comforting. His massage therapist, Maria, is wonderful. She helped bandage me and ease my swelling. The whole team is phenomenal. I was nervous to come from the states to have a procedure internationally, but it turned out to be worth it. I recommend Dr. Torres for any of your plastic surgery requests. He is highly skilled and meticulous. He will answer any of the questions you may have and make you feel comfortable. Thank you all so much.
I am a 59 year old woman. I have been wanting to have something done for my stomach for years. After weight loss surgery it was really bad. I researched different plastic surgeons in Mexico for several months. After having my video consultation with Dr. Edgar Torres I knew he was the surgeon for me. He was able to explain everything from the innovative techniques he uses to what the aftercare would include. He also explained what I could expect and what the limitations might be based on my abdomen. He was very thorough in answering all of my questions. I now have a beautiful flat stomach! The incision is low and the stitches form a very thin line. He did an amazing job! His staff was very involved , helpful and quick to respond to my needs. I could not have imagined this level of competency and care. I am having a facelift and some other procedures done so I will see him again soon. If you are considering plastic surgery I encourage you to check out Dr. Edgar Torres! There is more to these surgeries than just being able to perform them. You must have a very precise , artistic eye! These qualities set him apart! Sherry
I had an amazing experience with Dr Torres. He had done several surgeries throughout the years and will not turn to anyone else. I first went to Dr Torres after not being happy with a mommy makeover done in California. Here in California they did a mediocre job on my breast augmentation, the lipo was un even, and the tummy tuck's scar was left high, thick and uneven. Now after Dr Torres fixed it I adore my breast they look natural and real, the lipo is even and he defined my abdomen even more with the lipo, Dr Torres also revised the tummy tuck's scar and now it's even, suuper thin and he lowered it as well. I just went back to him this January 2021 for him to refresh my eyes. He did upper blepharoplasty, looks natural, scar is barely visible and took several years off my face. I know to only go to him and send all my friends to him. It was devastating to me having to redo my mommy make over. Dr Torres is an artist with the body and REALLY understands women's bodies. I also have a few friends that decided to go with different surgeons in Tijuana and Guadalajara because it was less money and they were not happy.
Dr Torres is a perfectionist and as a patient, thats a benefit for me. My face and neck look amazing and I couldn't be happier. I had a facelife/necklift in the past with MANY flaws. Dr Torres not only fixed those flaws but exceeded my expectations. I was SOOOOOO lucky to find Dr. Edgar Torres in Cancun, Mexico-- I am going to go back soon for several other procedures. Super excited
After researching for over a year, looking into various surgeons in Mexico, Cuba, West Coast USA and Thailand, I discovered MMV through my old bosses Sister. After hearing her amazing experience and seeing her results at just 3 months, my mother and I booked of surgeries. We booked are surgeries for April back in January and even with 3 months to wait, they kept in touch with us, being available to us for every question we had. When we arrived in Mexico we had a personal driver bring us right to the lab for our blood work, Betty Rep from MMV was there waiting for us. I was feeling pretty nervous about the blood work as I had a bad experience as a child but Betty kept me calm. Betty held my hand and kept me talking to distract me. The technician show me the needle tip and how it was new by breaking the seal and after my blood work was completed she had a machine to destroy the tip, ensuring me they don't reuse their needles. After we had our blood work Betty suggested we get breakfast as we arrived to Cancun very early. After breakfast she brought us to our condo, and told us all the great places around our condo we could walk too. The day of my surgery I met my surgeon Dr. Edgar Torres, I was pretty nervous just meeting him and going right into surgery but as soon as he starts talking and drawing his imagine on my body, I felt really relaxed. He answered all of my questions and concerns. You can tell he is very passionate about his work and is a perfectionist. The hospital staff was amazing, they all treated you as if were number one. The hospital always smelled very clean, they don't focus on pretty esthetics and instead on cleanliness. When they brought me into the op room, the anesthesiologist assistance sprayed my entire body with antiseptic to reduce the risk of carrying any infectious germs in. The Anesthesiology was swell spoken and assuring. When I woke up in my recovery room, my mom, Betty and personal nurse Anna was there to greet me. After Betty brought my mom back to the condo, Anna stayed with me all night. The next day Anna brought me to our condo, cleaned me up and changed my bandages. I pretty much slept for two days. Whenever I texted Betty or Anna, they were quick with a response and very eager to help me. Being in Cancun for so long away from my family was making me sad but Betty and Anna helped kept my spirits up. When I got home in Canada, the communication didn't stop, whenever I have concern or a question, their still right there to help me. My entire experience with MMV and Dr. Torres was amazing, I can't wait to return next year to show my full results. Procedures performed: Breast Augmentation, Full Body Liposuction and Tummy Tuck. Cost was 10900 USD
I assume you are referring to an umbilical (not inguinal) hernia. Thus, umbilical hernias can be perfectly repaired during the TT approach, since by lifting the skin with its fatty layer, the muscle wall is exposed in great detail, allowing the hole (which causes the hernia) to be easily repaired. , reinforcing the midline (corrects diastasis and abdominal flaccidity). There are no photos to analyze, nor do I know more details. However, I am sure that there must be additional circumstances and arguments that compel your surgeon to think that he should use mesh.
Based on your photos, and knowing that you have already used greasing to smooth out the depressions and smooth out the surface without significant changes. The TT is the best option of it. Yes, it will make your abdomen look better, but deep down its irregularities will continue, which will remain in a more favorable state for a new application of fat, which this time will have better conditions to camouflage the defects of the initial liposculpture.
Based on this single photo. It does give the impression that it can be solved with a slight liposuction of that area. According to the doctor, it is a delicate and hypersensitive area in terms of double trauma (cut and liposuction) during surgery.
Without the slightest doubt, a well-done TT, with emphasis on the plication (closure) of the abdominal aponeurosis (resistant tissue that covers the muscles) will make your abdomen flatten as much as possible, thus eliminating the diastasis recti that is the maximum level of muscle weakness or flaccidity to the extreme that implies a defect in your midline tissues. In other words, a compression garment is constructed like the one you wear when you want to flatter your figure by putting on certain clothes, but constructed of your own fabrics, permanently. In passing, the TT will remove the extra skin it has, its extra fat, and will release a very different navel, this time surrounded by skin without stretch marks.
Yes, you can use the compression garment that you used during your cesarean section, even better that it is completely adjustable since it has a velcro system. I prefer this type of garment, where you can perfectly control the level of compression. This is very important at the beginning of the postoperative period of a TT. A compression garment that is too tight can affect the circulation of the skin at the edge of the wound, with the risk of necrosis.
