The liquid on my drain is dark green 7 days tummy tuck post op, is this normal? (photo)

Dark green liquid in a drain after tummy tuck surgery is not normal.
It is important that you be evaluated in person.  The best person to evaluate  you for this problem is your Plastic Surgeon.  If your Plastic Surgeon is not available, please check in with the team that covers your Plastic Surgeon when they are not available, or see your family physician or the emergency department.

Hi, thanks for the question.After a normal procedure is the exit of liquid in some case bloody zero and then becomes yellowish. The green color is not the usual, it would be good to consult with your doctor and if it is necessary to make culture for bacteria and fungi. The important thing is not to have fever, or redness of the area, or pain. All that has a solution, but you must be accompanied by you' re  treating doctor.I hope it helps you a lot, thank you.

I recommend you to get in touch with your plastic surgeon right away (whatsapp, email, phone, instagram) The green drainage fluid is not usual, it is important that your PS evaluates the drainage in order to prevent any complication. Most of the time if you treat an infection right away everything is solved with antibiotics.Hope this is helpful.-Good luck :)

The yellow drainage was normal.  The dark green drainage is not usual.  It is important that she contact your plastic surgeon who should culture the liquid to rule out infection.  It is important to contact your surgeon soon to make certain the are not developing an infection or other problem.
