Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for rhinoplasty. The bump could be taken down and the tip better refined while keeping it natural. A weak chin can be improved at the same time. Be sure to see a facial and rhinoplasty expert that can do computer imaging at the same time.

Addressing the shape of the nose (including the nasal tip) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty (rather than closed) can best address your nose, and is particularly effective at addressing the size, shape, and definition! Unfortunately closed just would not allow for the maneuvers needed to achieve what you're looking for, and anyone telling you otherwise is doing you a disservice.

This truly a surgery of millimeters- and it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually).

Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty. I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Best wishes to you.

Hi, Yes, this can be achieved by closed rhinoplasty. However, one word of caution is don't focus so much on approach (open, closed, preservation ... ) and focus on which surgeon is going to give you the best overall result. Also, understand the real differences between those approaches. I do many revisions, a very common mistake that many of the patients make in the first place is choosing the surgeons for the wrong reasons. The recovery after rhinoplasty is not nearly as harsh as most people imagine, at least in my patients' experience. Meticulous techniques and avoiding the need for packing inside the nose or splints in side the nose greatly reduces the discomfort. We have out of town patients almost every week, and they are more than ready to fly home on day 7, sometimes even earlier. Most of the major facial swelling is resolved by that point and bruising is rare. The first 3 days are when you have the most swelling, pressure, and congestion. This was a quick answer to your questions, make sure to read up on more information and watch videos before making your final decision.During the consultation, make sure to also discuss the front and oblique views. The nose is 3 dimensional. What you change on the side will have implications for the front. Reducing the bridge can collapse it, which frequently happens in the quick closed cases that simply reduce the hump, cutting the septum and upper lateral cartilages without resecuring the area. These cases typically look good immediately after, and start to show collapse, irregularities, and deformities after a few months. Good luck!

You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty either open or closed. Although I prefer closed I don’t think you should use that as your main criteria since more surgeons do their noses open
