I am 8 days post op FUE hair transplant. I was told that post 8 days one can wash the recipient area using finger tips gently massaging in circular motion with a shampoo. While doing the same some scabs came off which looked like follicles. Photo is attached for the reference. Please help, as my doctor is out of town.

Answer: It is normal to have hair shedding days or weeks after surgery. If you are concerned it is best to follow up with your doctor.

This is not at all a usual complication. Go to your hair transplant surgeon if you haven't already and ask them about it, and follow whatever instructions they give you after. Without seeing you in person there's no way to make an accurate diagnosis.
Final results generally take about a year to achieve. Over the next few months you'll probably keep seeing new hairs sprouting, and then for the last few months before you are finished it will mostly be the sprouted hairs growing and maturing.
Shedding grafts is a normal process after a hair transplant. Sometime every hair and every graft sheds and does not return until the hair goes into anagen which is usually 5-6 months after a hair transplant is done
