I have large swollen blood bags under my eyes 48 hours after an upper eyelid blepharoplasty. Is it normal? (photo)

Yes, the swelling in the lower eyelid and cheek areas can be seen after upper eyelid surgery.  Completely normal.  I encourage you to use cold compresses for up to 4 days after the surgery as this will help improve this otherwise temporary concern. Best of luck.

Bruising after blepharoplasty is common. It can take 2 or more weeks to resolve (depends on the person).  Allow some time and this will resolve on its own. 

The swelling and bruising from an upper eyelid procedure will frequently move down into the lower eyelid.  Use some ice compresses  to keep the swelling down.  IT will go away.

This is gravity pooling the fluid/blood in the lower eyelids. It will go away as you continue to heal - may take 1-3 weeks. I recommend Arnica and Bromelain for swelling and bruising postsurgery.

You shouldn't worry since it is quite normal in the eyelid post operative.
You should to keep on taking anti-inflammatories and place some ice on the area.
