Upper blepharoplasty: are bumpy eyelids 8 days post op a concern? (Photo)

It is not unusual to have some irregularity along the incision line 8 days after upper blepharoplasty.  This issue normally will resolve by itself over more time.  It can take several weeks for this to occur though.  

Many people will have some small irregularities along the scar line after the surgery.  These should all smooth out.  You can do some gentle massage along the scar.  If you have buried sutures, you may feel or see a bump where those are located until they dissolve.

At 8 days it is normal to have some bumps.  In fact, it can take up to 3-6 months sometimes for them to fully resolve.  However, if they remain red and raised to a significant degree ask your surgeon.  Rarely with that appearance it can be an atypical mycobacterial infection that takes targeted oral antibiotics.  Stay in touch with your surgeon.

You do have some irregularities along the suture lines, and it isn't a very smooth contour -- but it is early and you should allow this to heal. It may take several months for these to resolve but are likely to improve with time. More concerning to me is that the left eye incision is higher than the right. Hopefully this just appears this way in the photo, and will be fine as you heal. Certainly your surgeon is best to review these issues.

It is very early in your recovery. This is common and almost always resolves  without problems.
I would keep using the lacrillube and follow up with your doctor regularly. You should see improvement quickly.
Sometimes a steroid cream can help, but it’s early enough that I wouldn’t start that yet.
When I had my eye tuck (by my brother who did a great job!) I got the same thing! They healed quickly.
