I am almost 8 weeks post op from brachioplasty with tumescent lipo. I have persistent swelling, which is sometimes pitting. My arms are always VERY tender and irritable. There are channels of soft tissue between channels of hard tissue. Is this fibrosis? If so: 1. Does the swelling/fibrosis normally go away on own? 2. Would you recommend self-massage? If so how do you do it/how often? 3. Could it be permanent? 4. Does fibrosis cause the tenderness? Or is it more likely caused by the edema?
