Are my eyes wide set? How do I correct it if they are?

You can improve the appearance of wide-set eyes by building up the bridge of the nose. In your case, the lower half of your nose is slightly off-centered, so this should be addressed at the same time the rest of your nose is fixed. In some cases, I also remove the inner corner skin and put in a crease on the eyelid to improve the distance between the eyes.

The appearance of wide set eyes can be more common in asians due to a naturally lower nasal bridge. If the nasal bridge is built up to the point between the eyes, the eyes appear closer together. This can be done permanently with surgery or you can have filler injections which last for 1-2 years. Another procedure is an epicanthoplasty to remove some skin from the inside corner of the eyes. This is a quick procedure, however may leave some tiny scars which can be covered with make-up. This is a normal variant that can be made less noticable by two procedures. One is increasing nasal dorsum by implant and performing a double eye crease procedure with correction of medial canthal folds. Scars can be minimal in experienced hands.

 Hello michaelchenrongming,It may be that your intercanthal distance is enlarged (distance between the inner corners of your eyes). This may have no pathology and could be a normal variant of your development. However, I detailed exam with special instruments will indicate if this truely is the case. There maybe surgical options for you but may come at a significant risk. This will all need to be discussed in detail.
