You need to be active as soon as you can after the operation - go for a walk. You need to wear comfortable compression garments provided by your surgeon. Eat healthy food that is high in protein, and drink at least 2 litres of water. You can also start a mild form of exercise - my preferred recommendation is swimming.
Hello! Every surgeon has his own protocol in the post-op care instructions, so it will be best to talk to your PS about this. I always provide pos op garments, and suggest to fly 7-10 days after surgery!Best of luck!
Thank you for your question. I would recommend sleeping on your sides with some flexion at your hips. Make sure your bedding is quite soft, and I would rotate back, use pillows to help you to be more comfortable. The worst position immediately following fat transfer to the buttocks is sitting. If you have to sit, do it for limited amounts of time with adequate padding. Recovery times vary from each individual patient. Typically patients take off 2-3 weeks for this procedure. Please make an appointment with a board-certified plastic surgeon to talk about your concerns and goals. Good luck :)
Each doctor is different in recommendations so you should have gotten instructions or if not you should call their office. Best
In general, there are not a lot of supplies needed for the BBL; I usually give the patient what they need including a garment. You should probably ask the surgeon you select what supplies are recommended. The BBL pillow is usually a good thing to purchase as well as compression garments if your surgeon does not provide. My patients wear a soft cotton t-shirt under the compression garment, slippers, and loose fitting dresses. If you are consuming an adequate amount of protein, your diet may not need to adjusted at all. Duration of travel will be helpful to make a determination as to the safety of flying following the BBL.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Each surgeon has a slightly different protocol. We provide garments and pillows, and recommend wearing loose clothing. Also, other items are suggested such as purchasing ABD pads, chux pads, tylenol ES, arnica....We recommend staying for your post op appointments at least a few days after surgery before flying.
You need to review the instructions with your surgeon as each surgeon may be a bit different in terms of their post-op care instructions. Good luck.
Hello dearThanks for the question, for me it is a pleasure to answer your concern. All patients should have at least 3 weeks for recovery after a Brazilian butt lift. It is better that you do not feel at all during this time. Sitting for a short period of time can affect the result. Sitting causes a surprising amount of pressure on the newly transplanted fat cells. Your surgeon will recommend rest in other positions during the first 3 weeks of recovery.Having a healthy diet, rich in healthy fats, proteins, vegetables, not smoking, and avoiding sitting will help you create an extracellular matrix that will support the new cells. I hope this answer will help you ...!Good luck!
