There are several ways to address cellulite depending upon depth of cellulite, location, elasticity of overall skin envelope, and subcutaneous fat layer. There is no uniformly successful method for treating it. My practice is now using BodyTite, a non-invasive procedure, that requires no down time to reduce the appearance of cellulite. The procedure combines different clinically proven modalities (radio frequency energy, deep tissue heating and suction coupled negative pressure) to distribute heat to the skin and underlying fat, causing the tissues to contract. Weekly sessions over an eight week period are recommended, but improvement is likely seen after the first few sessions.Lumps after BBL could represent fat necrosis. Painful lumps need an evaluation for BBL revision.
An in person physical exam would first be required to better evaluate your post BBL concerns. That being said, and although there are no guarantees, I have had pretty good luck smoothing out the buttock skin surface by placing buttock implants after these type of BBL complications. Glad to be of help.
Dear Diva, Thanks for posting your pictures. You are a classical example why BBL is a total waste of time and money. The fat disappears completely , or almost completely within months or even sooner and many times it make the butt look worse due to scarring or cysts. The answer to your question is absolutely 'yes'. The technique that I use, which is the sub fascial pocket and oval round ultra soft silicone implants tightens the skin and makes it smooth . It also allow for removal of cysts from inside without cutting the skin. Always, consult with experience board certified plastic surgeons who do lots of butt implants surgery (I have done well over 600 patients) in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with nice 'S' curve, nice projection, smooth skin, round hips, single low and short inter gluteal incision and natural look. Best of luck, Dr Widder
you seem to be a great candidate for buttock implants. this will help make the buttock smoother and rounder. Be sure to choose a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure and is well known for it.
As previously mentioned, cellulite is caused by tissue under the skin that is pulling down the skin. You have a combination of cellulite and areas of skin that are not smooth due to lack of volume under these depressed areas. Buttock Implants and Buttock Fat grafting will slightly improve the areas, but the skin will not be completely smooth.
Cellulite is caused by connective tissue bands that stabilize the skin to the underlying muscle fascia. The body has lots of these bands on pressure bearing areas like the palm of the hand, back of the thighs and buttocks especially the part of the buttocks that receives the greatest pressure when sitting. These connective tissue bands are not pliable and don’t stretch. When volume is added it creates a dimpling appearance on the skin. It’s very difficult to correct this. The best treatment is a procedure called subsicion. There’s a device called Celfina that does this. The improvements are not great but can be reasonable. A BBL can definitely make cellulite worse. Gluteal implants will probably not correct it but shouldn’t make it worse either. Do you want more volume? You’re definitely going to get that if you had implants. I would not add implants unless you want more gluteal volume. Most board-certified plastic surgeons in the United States do not offer butt implants. The list of complications as long and real. That’s not to say the procedure can’t be done successfully. Removing previously placed gluteal implants also can lead to bad outcomes so it’s not always easily reversible. You could probably have some fine-tuning of your results and get some improvements. Dr. Mendietta describes a procedure called a Miami thong lift that could be a good option. Further liposuction around the periphery may give better curves. You for sure need in person consultations to get an accurate assessment. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
