Is there anyway to prevent oval buttock implants from flipping?

 To clarify what you are asking, “flipping“ is a process where an implant turns over from the front to the back side like flipping a pancake.  On the other hand, rotation, which is more common with all implants in the body, is when an implant turns clockwise or counterclockwise. When buttock implants are properly placed into the intra-muscular pocket, the risk of flipping is reduced all the way down to about 0.1%. The risk of implants rotating has been essentially eliminated by the creation of the patented Stanton Anatomic oval buttock implant. This implant has been used by myself in approximately 600 patients since 2015 and has not yet had a single case of a rotation complication. Hope this helps.

The shape and size of your implant is determined by your plastic surgeon at the time of your consultation by taking measurements.  The size of the implant does depend on the size of the patient. If the implant used is too large for the patients body type, the implant is likely to be unsuccessful and result in explanation.  It is VERY important that you choose a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes in this procedure and is well known in the medical community for it. This will significantly increase your chances of a successful operation.
