however it seems that a Brazilian buttlift is even more so now? I want to increase the size of my butt in a substantial way, I’ve been looking at 712cc buttock implants & I love the size they add. I’m interested in the cost, as well as if they are actually safe to get? I keep reading about fat embolism associated w/ the bbl & how risky it is as a procedure so I don’t think that’s an option for me at this point, I also don’t believe that I can achieve the dramatic look I’m desiring w/ a bbl. I would love some advice & insight.
Answer: Size and shape selection for buttock implants Other than placing buttock implants within the gluteus maximus muscle (aka “intramuscular”) NOT “subfascial”, the most important factors in creating the perfect derriere and/or hourglass figure with implants is indeed selecting the right size AND shape. I have found the best way to assure this is to simply measure the actual dimensions of the patient’s buttock cheeks and quantity and quality/density of the underlying gluteus muscles. With these anatomical measurements, I can select an implant that not only significantly augments the buttock but also supplies the correct 3-dimensional enhancement to look as real as possible...even in the most petite patients. Note, height and weight are considered but not nearly as relevant as the above measurements. Long story short, most patients cannot even fit a 600 cc intramuscular buttock implant the first time around. However, just like we often have to do with breast implants, the largest implant that fits can be placed initially and then the patient can come back in 6+ months to have that implant removed and replaced for yet a significantly larger one. Glad to be of help.

Answer: I want butt implants but I keep hearing they are risky. Would 712cc be safe to get? Can I achieve my goal photo? (photos) Buttock implants placed within the muscle should be measured to fit your anatomic constraints. I place both round and oval implants in an intramuscular position with a preference for round implants if possible to improve projection, improve roundness and fullness laterally, and prevent rotational deformities associated with oval implants. Oval implants may be more useful in some anatomic conformations. You would need to be examined in person to determine if round or oval would be best for your anatomy. Studies have demonstrated that sizes above 350 cc have a greater rate of complications, but most women choose an implant volume in the 350cc to 400cc range. The complications for buttock implants include need for removal, infection, extrusion, fluid collection, implant migration, implant visibility, and capsular contracture among others. There is no question that the BBL has fewer complications across the board than does the buttock implant. PS do not inject fat into the muscle to all but eliminate the risk for fat embolus and death. I perform both procedures, but I try to reserve the buttock implants for patients who truly do not have enough fat for the BBL. Sometimes I place implants in patients who want more volume after the BBL.I perform so many butt implant surgeries and BBL surgeries that I am not interested in trying to convince the patient that one surgery is bad and one surgery is good as so many surgeons attempt to do. I will provide recommendations, but, in the end, it is the patient's decision on whether to pursue a BBL or butt implant surgery with solid silicone implants.

Answer: Buttock implants thank you for sharing. Buttock Implants vary in shapes and sizes. The shape and size of your implant is determined by your plastic surgeon at the time of your consultation by taking measurements. The size of the implant does depend on the size of the patient. If the implant used is too large for the patients body type, the implant is likely to be unsuccessful and result in explanation. It is VERY important that you choose a board certified plastic surgeon that specializes in this procedure and is well known in the medical community for it. This will significantly increase your chances of a successful operation.

Answer: Composite buttock augmentation 712cc is too big and will have a high likelihood of complications. You are much better off with a smaller implant, combined with fat. This is a new strategy we have written and discussed recently. it gives the core buttock projection plus the natural look of fat. Best regards
