Your nose is normal. If YOU think it's too big for your liking, then you can certainly consider having a rhinoplasty operation. Without an exam, it will not be possible to fully evaluate you and give you recommendations.
Thank you for your question. Your nose does not appear big, because the nose is a very individual characteristic that must be considered in context with the rest of your face and facial features. If you would like to learn more about your nose, I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon because an in-person examination would be the best way to learn more about your nose.Best wishes,
Hello,I don't think your nose is too big for your face, but if you would want some refinement a closed rhinoplasty is definitely the procedure you should have. With this procedure you can narrow the nasal bone so it is smaller, and refine your nasal tip to make it more pronounced. This approach enhances your nose with no external cuts or scars. This prevents the dreaded complication of external scarring at the base of the nose, which even if rare, if it occurs, is devastating. Through a scarless approach you can accomplish almost everything needed to be done to the nose with no scarring, less healing time, less bruising, and less swelling. Do consult a board certified plastic surgeon who performscarless rhinoplasty as 100% of his/her surgical practice and does hundreds of these procedures a year. Hello and thank you for your question. Based on yourphotograph, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon canaccomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in yourlower nose. You may also benefit from an alar base reduction. Make sure you specifically look at before and afterpictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeonand not just a computer animation system. The most importantaspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seekconsultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluateyou in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Yes the nose is big for the face. It can be reduced with narrowing the nostrils (alarplasty), narrowing the tip (tip plasty) and narrowing the upper half of the nose (osteotomies). RegardsDr. Janjua
Hello and thank you for your question. It is hard to answer your question from a single close-up photograph alone. I would suggestfinding the right rhinoplasty surgeon in your area. In your rhinoplastyconsultation, be sure your surgeon addresses all your aesthetic goals and concernsspecifically, and discusses the surgery details including the position and sizeof the incisions used (with actual photographs and not just digital animations),the risks and benefits of the procedure, recovery time, and post-operativecourse. Also, be sure to see plenty of before-and-after pictures in menwho have a similar nose appearance to yours, and preferably at different timeframes (3 weeks out, 3 months out, etc) to more accurately predict your ownsurgical outcome. And lastly, I think the mostimportant component of the consultation is to establish a good connection withyour plastic surgeon. It’s the connection that allows you to clearly define your desired nose outcomegoals, the first step of this whole process. If you don’t feel you have agood connection with your plastic surgeon after your consultation, he/she maynot be the best surgeon for you.For further information on rhinoplasty, please refer to the link below.Good luck.Mark K Markarian, MD, MSPHHarvard-trained Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon
Hard to tell. If one is taking a selfie with a smart phone camera, often the nose appears too large. This can be due to the optics of the lenses in the camera. A good photograph would be from a camera with a 55 mm lens. But do remember, a large nose is in the eye of the beholder. If you stand back from a mirror and take a look and feel your nose is big, you may be right! Depending on your internal anatomy which is determined a consultation, often the nose can be made smaller. Your surgeon following consultation can describe to you realistic changes that can be made with your individual nose.
I guess what you are asking is should I get a rhinoplasty? If you came into the office I would ask you what you didn't like about your nose and take it from there. I would then make an assessment of the features of your nose and explain what can or cannot be accomplished with a nose job. Once the discussion with you has ended, I would hope that we would be on the same page about what to expect. Just an objective look at your picture reveals to me that your appearance could be enhanced by narrowing your dorsum and refining your tip to match the shape of your face. Very doable.
Very difficult question to answer. This is a very personal matter of opinion. All that matters is what you like and wish for yourself. If you feel like your nose is too big, you can always consult in person with a board certified plastic surgeon and discuss your options ans concerns. Best of Luck to you.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so it's a personal decision as to whether or not you wish to undergo a rhinoplasty procedure. A rhinoplasty procedure can accomplish narrowing the bridge line, narrowing the tip, and narrowing the nostrils. Yes, it does look like there is too much columella show. This can often be treated with a small procedure with minimal downtime.

Thank you for your question on this complex topic. In short, Spirox implants mainly improve external nasal valve collapse. However, this is temporary as the implant is resorbable and dissolves over time. Some physicians believe that the results are long-lasting, though, due to scar tissue...
