Can lip injections make a nose appear smaller? (Photo)

Question

I'm not ready to go under the knife for a rhinoplasty. Too many risks for me. My nose is bulbous. I was wondering if lip injections could make my nose appear smaller and more harmonious with my face?

Great question.Augmenting your lips with dermal filler would make them appear fuller and likely help change the proportion of your face.  Your nose shape wouldn't change but fuller lips could help balance your features.  It is a relatively quick procedure with much less risk and downtime than surgery, usually only a little bruising or possibly none if a blunt tip needle can be used.To be sure, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. Very good question.  Sometimes the length or projection of your chin can make your nose appear longer or shorter.   Injections into the lips or chin with fillers may change some of the way the facial proportions look.  I would definitely seek advice form a Board Certified Surgeon. Good luck.Dr Bublik
