Is nasal tip repair (straightening) only possible? (Photos)

Based on what I see, you appear to have thin nasal skin and a crooked nasal appearance. Although I agree that your tip points to your right side, you appear to have a slight indentation along your right nasal sidewall, tip asymmetries, and an over projected tip appearance. In general, the goals of surgery would be to provide a straighter, and less distracting nasal appearance. The asymmetry of your tip can, of course, be improved with a tip rhinoplasty alone, and many surgeons can and will do it, but this would not improve the asymmetry of the septum that you seem to have. Please find an experienced, board certified Plastic surgeon who can examine you and help you with all your concerns. All the best!

Based on your photos, you are a great candidate for tip rhinoplasty because your nasal bone appears straight. Your septum needs to be fixed along with improving the nasal tip cartilage and creating symmetry at the same time. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

Without in person consultation including evaluation of your septum and airway, it would be impossible to give you an answer about the extent of your surgery. Regardless how extensive septum procedure you may need, current shape of your nose can be preserved. Good luck.

Thank you for your question. There is no minimal none rhinoplasty procedures to improve your nose, however, you are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty. I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. In your case, you should be able to have an excellent result. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. In your case, Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Best wishes to you.

Yes, the tip can be straightened in majority of the cases with a Tip-plasty only. No bones need to be broken. It is related to the left sided alar retraction and deviation of the columella.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. Your surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Fascial grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. Tip deprojection can also be performed to help straighten your tip. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
