Am I a candidate for breast implants without a lift? (Photos)

Question

Hello, I’m a 37 year old woman who had a kid a year and a half ago. Before pregnancy my boobs were round and perky (C cup) and now they look deflated . I’m wondering If I needed a lift or not, As my nipples are not that low. I would prefer to have just implants, to avoid the scars. I went to a surgeon and he told me I needed a lift, with the “anchor” scar and I don’t like that idea too much. What do you think? Thanks

Unfortunately, after pregnancy, there are some breast changes.

You are a candidate for breast implants without a lift.

If you are ok with your breasts remaining low and more natural look, many of my patients have avoided a formal breast lift with T scars by only breast implant augmentation.

Larger implants above the muscle will give the most fill. Dual plane or half under muscle is a good option also.

A lift would be indicated if you wanted, higher, perkier breasts. I would not recommend a lift if you are considering further children.

An exam and further consultation with your/a plastic surgeon is recommended to discuss your options and expectations.

Your breasts are low on the chest wall and adding just implants would result in large low breasts. You would benefit from a breast lift using Bellesoma. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Based on these photos and your nipple position, I don’t think that you will need a lift. Breast augmentation can be done without a lift.

After pregnancy and breastfeeding, patients experience a loss of volume in the upper pole of the breasts. Therefore, a breast lift is often necessary. However, if you do not want a lift and the associated scarring, and if you are not bothered by the current ptosis (sagging) of your breast tissue, a fuller breast can be created by placing an implant to fill the upper pole. But you have to accept a certain amount of sagging and the downward position of the breast.On the other hand, my recommendation is to perform a breast lift with an implant. I recommend a lift with an inverted T scar. This way, you will have a breast that preserves the upper pole fullness, which is much more long-lasting.
