I’m booked for a BBL and I’m excited yet nervous at the same time. I’m a mom of 3 and worried about what expectations to have in my stomach area. Will I have to go back for TT? 2 surgeries is not what I wanted.
Answer: Tummy tuck Dear qcb0420, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Tummy tuck + Liposuction and DBL I recommend you a Tummy Tuck to get a flat abdomen and waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour. I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and butt projection, is that we know as "Brazilian Butt Lift" (BBL). Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Answer: Tummy Tuck or BBL ? Hello. You have the 3 main reasons to undergo a Full Tummy Tuck combined with Liposculpture and BBL : 1. Separated abdominal muscles (diastasis rectis) 2. Excessive abdominal skin plus strecht marks 3. A bulky and distended abdomen Liposculpture alone will not solve this problems but worsen them. That is the truht wether you like it or not. After an agressive lipo, your options will be less and much more difficult.

Answer: The right way to do cosmetic surgery. I recommend anybody considering cosmetic surgery to spend a significant amount of time and effort in choosing the right provider. I recommend doing this exclusively by having in person consultations avoiding virtual consultations whenever possible. your post makes it sound like you’re scheduled for surgery without having had a consultation. I also recommend patients avoid traveling long distances for elective surgical procedures. people do not seem to appreciate the importance of having in person consultations, the number of people who I have real issues after surgery, the number of people who will need revisions or that complications actually happen. For all of these reasons I recommend patients stay local whenever possible and choose to provider through having multiple in person consultations. A thorough in person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon should include a thorough discussion of your candidacy for the procedure and explain to you what the procedure can and cannot accomplish. It doesn’t sound like you’re approaching this procedure in a very thoughtful manner. When in doubt slow down and schedule more in person consultations. There are four variables that determine what someone’s abdomen looks like. They are skin laxity, subcutaneous fat, muscle separation from previous pregnancies and lastly excess visceral or intra-abdominal fat. liposuction will only address subcutaneous fat. It’s important to recognize the different variables that are causing your abdomen to look the way it does. Pregnancies do not change someone’s fat distribution but instead it creates skin laxity and muscle separation. Pregnancy related changes are better treated by a full tummy tuck then by having liposuction. A BBL is not an abdominal operation it is fat transfer to the buttocks. Because fat transfer inherently requires fat to be harvested through liposuction it is always done as a combined procedure. During a consultation the patient should be assessed in regards to candidacy for both Liposuction and fat transfer. I suggest you consider consulting with local board-certified plastic surgeons in your community. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Abdominal fullness Hi and welcome to our forum! From your photos, I note a full abdomen, associated with significant stretch marks of the abdominal skin.A full abdomen may be the result of separation of the anterior abdominal muscles which occurs during pregnancy as the abdomen stretches to accommodate the growing fetus. It may be due to an accumulation of fat between the skin and the abdominal wall. It may also be due to the presence of excess visceral fat, the fatty tissue surrounding your internal organs. A physical examination is required to differentiate.Stretch marks indicate the presence of permanently damaged overstretched skin usually occurring during pregnancy or significant weight fluctuation where when pregnant or overweight, the skin's dermal elastic fibers rupture, resulting in the loss of elasticity (like an old rubber band) and the development of streaks on the skin surface. The skin will stretch over a greater surface area and will predispose to further sagging. The presence of stretch marks makes it impossible to predict how the skin will drape after liposuction. With limited ability of the skin to shrink after the fat is removed, there may be loose skin requiring further treatment...and if the fullness is due to muscle separation, your abdomen may still be full.Best wishes...
