I'm 6 days PO and my steri strips are lifting! Not a lot, but just enough to cause air bubbles under the strips and make me worry that moisture and bacteria and germs and sweat can get inside. What do I do? Is this normal?

Answer: Call your doctor You should call your doctor to let them know about the steristrips. Usually, if they are coming off, there may be some moisture underneath which may cause the skin to get irritated and may require some antibiotic ointment. I usually ask my patients to keep that area dry to avoid moisture which can make the skin break down and if it does get moist, I usually change the strips or remove them to allow the skin to dry.
