I'm 5'1, 110 lbs, and small B cup. Will a 265cc be too big or fake looking for my petite body? (photos)

First, 265 cc is not a large implant.  You should try sizers on with your surgeon and see which volume gives you the look you desire.  I would say you could achieve a nice outcome with any implant between 230 and 330 cc.  However, the volume is only part of the equation.  If you fill an implant to the low end of it's volume range (say 250 cc in a 250 cc implant), it is softer, more natural, and has less projection.  If you fill a smaller implant to the same volume (250 cc in a 230 cc implant), it will look less natural and have more projection and upper pole fullness. If you put 250 cc a 210 cc implant (it's maximum volume), it will be very narrow and projected.  In addition to determining the volume you want, you need to tell your surgeon that you want a natural look.  That should help them decide not only on a volume, but also which implant to use to achieve that look.

I think either size would give you a C cup and look natural.  The difference between the two sizes is small. Given that many patients at 6 months wish they were a little larger, I would tend to suggest the larger size of the two.  An intermediate size will not give a meaningful difference. If you looked at 3 dimensional imaging you would appreciate how small the difference is.

Unfortunately, you have not told us your bra size
just your cup size.If you are 32 or 34

Thanks for your question!Typically, a patient will need to choose an implant that is roughly 150-200cc to go up one cup size. If you are currently wearing a small B and are hoping to be a full C, I think that 265cc would be a nice size for you. Also, to achieve a natural-looking result, I would recommend choosing a silicone gel implant with a submuscular placement.  Good luck!  I'm sure whatever you choose will look fantastic!

Hi, it sounds to me that you are on the right track!  Very reasonable.  This is perhaps the hardest decision for
a patient to make, as well as the surgeon. Cup size estimates can be
misleading, but I generally advise patients that they will experience an
increase of approximately one cup size per 200 cc. You can try on implants in
the office by placing them into a special bra.Approximately 50 cc (1-2 oz.) is added to the final volume to account
for flattening of the implant in the partial submuscular pocket. Once you
decide on a size you like, then add on about 25-50 cc, because in real life the
implant will be flattened slightly by your tissues.Multiple measurements need to be taken to fit
an implant to your exact anatomy. Have your surgeon's office show you the
charts of the implant dimensions for the various profiles of silicone and
saline from the manufacturer. Then you and your surgeon can piece
together the puzzle by matching your measurements, with your wishes, versus
your tissue cover and the available implants to arrive at a surgical plan.Keep in mind larger implants tend to have
more problems over the years.Since
silicone implants wrinkle less than saline implants, they might be your best
bet.You can also approximate this at home by measuring out an equivalent
amount of rice placed into a cutoff foot of old panty-hose, and put this in
your bra.Wear this around the house for
a while, and see what you think.Implant
size must square with assessments of tissue cover, breast diameter, and chest
wall width. Multiple measurements of your chest wall are taken (seven in
total). Implant size selection has been
an issue of much discussion. Therefore, I use a wide variety of methods, but the implant size is
always established preoperatively.Also,
patients are advised to bring reference photos demonstrating their ideal size
and shape. A photo album of patient pictures is maintained to assist them.
These photos ultimately help in determining where the implants will be placed,
since they can be shifted inside (to provide more cleavage), to the outside, up
or superiorly, and down or inferiorly during surgery. In determining the final
size selection, I always place the highest priority on the preoperative
measurements and potential tissue cover. Then, the patient’s verbal requests
are factored into the analysis.Our
average size over the last 7,000 implants was 350. Be sure to see only a board certified
plastic surgeon (by ABPS - The American Board of Plastic Surgery) who is a
member of ASAPS (The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) and or a member
of ASPS (The American Society of Plastic Surgeons). Also, ask if they have an
established, high volume breast augmentation practice, performing several
hundred breast augmentations each year. Be sure the PS has been in practice for
a while, 20-years or more might be a good gauge.Does the PS offer all three incisions?Discuss the implant type (gel or saline),
shaped "gummy bear" or non-shaped, smooth or textured, implant pocket
(over or under the muscle) and the "quick recovery approach."Ask to see their before and after photos if
you didn’t see any on their website. If they are experienced, they should
have several 100 breast implant patients for you to view. I would also
recommend that your doctor offer you the chance to talk to past patients who
would be happy to discuss their experience with you. You need to feel
comfortable, so make sure the environment is safe as in an accredited surgery
center. Also, ask a prospective surgeon if he or she has ever published journal
articles in professional peer-reviewed journals, which they can provide

Hello! Thank you for your question. In general, implant size does not
correlate with bra cup size. The cup size itself will vary from
manufacturer to manufacturer as well as who is doing the actual
measurements. Thus, cup size is never a reliable indicator for your
breast size. I typically encourage my patients not to communicate her
desires in cup size but more on the actual look and appearance.
However, the increase you state should give you at least a cup size
increase.  The implant style/projection will also influence this factor.  Given your photos, consideration for the anatomically-shaped silicone "gummy bear" implant may be a nice option for you.Good communication between you and your surgeon of
your expectations is warranted - choosing your surgeon wisely is the
first step. Discussion of your wishes and having an honest and open
dialog of your procedure is mandatory (e.g, implant type, incision,
placement, lift, etc). I have found that photographs brought by the
patient is helpful to get a visualization of the appearance you wish for
in terms of size, shape, fullness, etc.  Preoperative sizing may be available and helpful to both you and your surgeon.   In addition, your surgeon's
pre and postoperative photographs should demonstrate a realistic goal
for you. Once this has been accomplished, allow your surgeon to utilize
his/her best medical judgment during the procedure to finesse the best
possible result for you after preoperative biodimensional planning and

I think based on the photo and physical attributes you submitted that the 265cc will let you achieve a C cup and not be too big or fake. I use 250 cc as a mark to raise a cup size up one cup….but never guaranty cup size as bras are cut different. Try the implant on in a soft bra and see if that is right for you. You PS should have access to trial implants.

Thank you for your think that your 265 should be fine you might want to consider going bigger like 325 or 350. Most women desire fuller breasts. 

Thanks for your questions and photos. The difference between the two sizes your surgeon suggested and you are apparently are considering is only 30cc, or two tablespoons. (You cannot even see this difference.) So, yes, there is an "in-between" if your surgeon chooses moderate profile Allergan 240cc implants! These have a base diameter of 11.7 cm, which will easily fit inside even your petite breast base diameter. The 234cc and 265cc implants (Allergan) are moderate plus profile, which are narrower (10.9 and 11.4cm respectively), and may give you excessively wide cleavage that many patients find unattractive and less "natural." The widest implants in the size range you are contemplating (moderate profile) will give the most pleasing and natural results, not moderate plus or high profile implants.Since you want to go up by about one bra cup size (or a tiny bit more than a bra cup), I think the implants (both) you mention are in the right size ballpark, but sizing with actual implants in a bra and stretchy top would be a good idea. Then choose the moderate profile implants in the desired size. I have found that if you like the look of a specific size implant in a tight top, it takes about 15% more volume to equal that "look" when placed below the muscles. So if you sized and chose a 235cc sizer for its desirable degree of enlargement in a stretchy top, then you would require a 265cc implant in your body to achieve as close to the desired "look" as possible. (I would then use the Allergan 270cc moderate profile implant, which is 12.2cm wide.)Goal photographs showing models whose breast appearance you like (nude, not in a bra or swimtop) are also helpful, but sizing is important too. Best way to find the right implant for you is to try on sizers.  At the same time, 265cc is certainly not a large implant and would most likely look good on you.  However, you have to remember that to get a good and natural looking result, it's not just about choosing an implant, it's also about choosing a surgeon.  If it was as easy as slapping in a pair of implants, anyone could do it and you wouldn't have people on this site asking about corrections of a poorly done breast augmentations.Take your time to find a board certified plastic surgeon with a reputation for quality and care.  That's your best chance at getting the results you want.
